I know it probably looks like an enlarged Hwk-290, but is there any actual art for the HWK-1000?

There are lots of essentially both. I'm unfamiliar with what would differentiate the two.

A scaling error.

There is a strong suspicion that the HWK-1000 was invented to reconcile the 16/29m length discrepancies of the HWK-290.

The HWK-1000 is wider at the back end forward of the engines, from other pictures I've seen. Other than being longer of course.
