Captain Phasma upgrade card

Well we've already had whineakin we really didn't need another wuss as the antagonist.

Ren lost credibility as soon as the mask came off he's just a punchline now.

Obviously not. Why would he only be credible with a mask on?

He went from hate filed dark Jedi to child throwing a tantrum because daddy didn't love him enough.

That is just a description of what he did. I think it's totally credible that such a character would behave like that. So where was credibility lost?

Except that for the most part Anakin is the protagonist. Kylo also is well acted which makes the whole thing actually enjoyable to see.

Here it is in all it's glory:

but if you arent outnumbered thats -4 points!

Also, about Kylo Ren, not every villain is supposed to be a cool, collected, one step-ahead of the hero type. Sometimes characters have character.

well it wasn't just that Rey beat Kylo in a fight--we know he was severely injured. It's that she was amazing at literally everything. No weaknesses, no flaws, not even any personality flaws, really.

Phasma crew card:

Discard this card to become disappointed in it's lack of effectiveness. You may receive one stress token if you had hopes.

People love to point to a wounded Kylo as why he lost, but conveniently ignore that Rey had just been knocked unconscious, which should probably have taken a toll on her ability to out-Force someone who's been using it far longer than she has. But didn't, for some reason.

Call it the intimidation factor because she looks cool. Just don't outnumber her... she'll break under all that pressure

Really like that Captain Phasma card haha. Was really sad that she did not have a bigger role in the movie aside of her walk on to the battlefield....

I think Kylo is a great character that has character. Don't really know all of Rey's story, so it is speculation at best as to why she was so good and able to match and ultimately surpass Kylo's skills. What I will say is I would be very angry as well and would have done more than smash some consoles if I had a high value target like Poe who was taken out of my custody and sent back to the enemy. I enjoy the character and look forward to seeing how he develops over the other movies.

She didn't become a Jedi Master... She beat another apprentice that wasn't near as strong as her in the force. Why do people think Kylo was even a knight? He was still training himself.

Can't imagine he was feeling spry and spiffy after taking that bowcaster bolt to the side either... you know, the one that sent Troopers flying back 15 feet but that he took like a champ.

Just remember that Kylo was shot by a friggin bowcaster.

Honestly, the fact that he was even walking around should be a scary testimony to his strength. The fact that he was able to beat Finn while that badly hurt is another testimony. The fact that he _nearly beat Rey_ given all that is frightening.

So she's a Skywalker?

I also think it's entirely plausible that Kyko is terrible with a sabre, bit good at things like stopping blasters still.

You obviously watched a different movie to the rest of us.

JJ doesn't understand the force trying to make excuses for that is pointless.

Obviously he hasn't heard about the Medichlorians.

Once the mask came off he was now known as Darth Emo. When are Emos ever credible? You know what they are going to say all the time, their life sucks.

In any case, Ren didn't seem emo to me. He is very ambitious amd desperately strives for something. Emokids don't do that, they withdraw themselves.

A bit dizzy != shattered thigh bone.

Yep.. Amazing at everything. That is precisely why she closed the blast doors rather than accidently release the rathtars. She also knew exactly how to fire a blaster and not leave the safety on. She was also the right thing by deciding to go back and wait for the family who abandoned her - no emotional scars there.

Remember that Vader couldn't even shoot Luke's X-wing in Ep IV even though he was right behind him for a good while. I guess Luke was just too strong in the force already even though he just heard about it like earlier that week.

So yeah, I think people are making too big of a deal about this OP Rey thing. SW has always had these problems. Super fandom is very hard to appease.

Wow, she made one mistake which she corrected few moments later. And the blaster situation is exactly what people don't like about her - clearly first time ever she holds a blaster and plants headshot after headshot.

Really? I'll pay more attention this week when Imgo see it for the fourth time, but how many stormtroopers did she shoot exactly? I'd be surprised if it's more than one or two.

No weapons until they get to Maz, she missed that one stormtrooper there didn't she? Maybe some spray fire at the power plant but she was next to Finn there, so it'd be hard to tell who shot whom, and even then not a whole lot of stormtroopers were shot with Chewie taking most of them.

But headshot after headshot?

If people were saying that TFA was perfect I could understand all the complaining, but no one does that! People say it is an enjoyable Star Wars movie, nothing less, nothing more. It is not the highlight of the franchise by any strech, but it is decent enough that it makes most people look forward to Episode VIII in a genuinly positive way (unlike with the prequels were people were like "this one is the one, they are going to fix that crap and redeem the PT").

Most Rey and Kylo bashing is really nit picky and far-fetched. Not all of it, but most points that "da haterz" keep bringing up.

Well, it is in my number two position of SW movies...

That isn't unreasonable, but I prefer both ESB and ANH personaly and I see it on par with RotJ.
