I can't figure out Phantom or Defender, or a differentiator between TIE/LN and TIE/fo though.

Once Tomax is with us I will seriously question whether any list that has a named Punisher in it wouldn't be better with Evercrack Tomax.

I proxied Tomax Bren this weekend with Crackshot, and loaded up with ordnance. He is a beast. Like really scary. I just need to figure out a way to keep hits off him

Rhymer's still a bit of a deadweight and Jonus is far more suited to a TIE shuttle support role.

I still like my APT/PTL Rhymer. He aint cheap but he takes big chunks out of things.

Jonus is fun in Epic if you run him alongside a Raider with lots of secondary weapons. He provides a whole bucket of rerolls.
