Divine Displeasure

By valvorik, in WFRP House Rules

Any comments on these proposed house rules for expanding the consequences of anyone who must 'curry favour' with a deity violating the tenets of their faith.

These take 2nd edition and update them. They are intended to ensure "an Act's worth of pain" or something equivalent and be based on violating the specific strictures of a god or something equally blatant - just moderately appropriate roleplaying should only find violations being made in times of great difficulty - this is more to "signal where not to stray" than to really be used lots.

More than one option each time for the 'penance' effect to avoid too much predictability making that become too 'gameable' rather than 'roleplaying'.

I like this. Mess them up with a condition for a scene while you're waiting for everything to sort itself out. I' be inclined to make some of the conditions last a bit longer, they are a little less powerful than others. (Quesy for example, is not really all that dangerous.)
