The app has crashed a few times since yesterday

I've found that it helps to search very patiently. When I type a letter, it stays magnified on the keyboard for a moment. Once that goes away it's safe to type another letter. It's slow but quicker than restarting the app. I don't know if that helps with Vander's troubleshooting, but I've found it true for whatever it's worth...

Been a fan since you started, love the app and appreciate all the hard work you have put into this. I know there are a lot of people concerned with squads but I mainly use it for my collection so I know exactly what I have. After a 130 plus xpacs is there a way to export the collection? You can always rebuild a squad but I would seriously lose my **** if I lost my collection data.

Also why is there a clear collection button right at the top of your collection? I have to scroll down a bit immediately on looking at my collection just to prevent the risk of an accidental phone drop or finger twitch lol

I had someone else report that it was crashing when they tried to equip B-wing/E2. Had someone suggest I was trying to encourage them to fly better ships :P.

I've had several differnet people report crashing issues since the update. The biggest problem is that so far I haven't been able to reproduce any of the crashes people are getting to be able to use it to find what the problem is. A couple people are having crashes with search, but most of the crashes have been when equipping upgrades on pilots. And it's always a different upgrade on a different pilot than the last person to report a problem. I don't think I've had any 2 people with the exact same combo crashing for them

There's no way in app right now to backup/export the collection (I do intend to add it to the dropbox syncing, but hasn't happened yet). You CAN go in and save the Collection.xml file from iTunes File Sharing if you plug the device into a computer (then if you needed to restore it for some reason, such as wiping collection by accident or reinstalling the app, you just put that file back in the same place).

Edit: Also, that clear collection button does have a confirmation dialog, so simply hitting the button itslef by accident wont wipe you out. You also have to then confirm you actually wanna delete it all

Is he the first ship in your list (and if so, do you happen to have 3 ships in the list)? I seem to be able to reliably reproduce the crash finally by adding 3 piltos then trying to add or change/upgrades on the first one. Looking into it now, but haven't the faintest idea what the heck is going on.

There were 3 ships in the list. I usually select all my ships first, and then start putting upgrades on them

I do the same a lot. I'm wondering if that's the common element, and the reason I've had different combinations of pilots nad upgrades from everyone who's reported a crash to me is because that happened to be the first pilot in the list and the first upgrade they tried to put on them after adding the pilots. Would explain why I coudln't reproduce any fo them, since I would just try the pilot/upgrade in question.

Tried rebuilding the list again. Selected the 3 pilots, and it crashed when I tried to put the first upgrade on the first ship

Was the same for me when I searched for VI!

(edit: or more precisely, when I then tried to put VI on Vader)

(edit2: just reproduced it: Added Vader, Qd, Vynder. Then pick vader and try to add VI, which crashes. It does not crash if I search on the second pilot. I could also repeat the crash with two random rebel lists, but again just if I search for an EPT on the first pilot. Haven‘t tried another slot)

On a positive note, the latest beta corrected the scrolling problem for good!

This is also happening for me a lot too, and often when changing an upgrade card as well as when adding upgrade cards to a new list.

Yah, I've figured out a couple ways tog et the app to crash reliably. Unforitunately I haven't been able to figure out WHY yet or how to fix it . Still working on it though.

I just discovered that app, I used mostly Startactics before, but the custom cards thing is just wonderful !

Just a few questions though :
- is there a way to "share" a bunch of upgrade cards? In my little group, we use our own "fixes" for some ships, and being able to distribute them to the other membres of the group, so that we all get a compatible builder would be awesome.
-is there a way to get the app functioning on a web or even windows environment?

The crash happens when there are only two ships in the list as well.

There is currently no way to share custom upgrades, you'd each have to add them separately.

No web or windows version yet either, though I WOULD like to build a website for it at some point...

Just found out about Aurora Squadbuilder since a local store was running a mixed faction build tournament. Want to say THANKS A TON!!! for including mixed faction possibilities! I'll be using this a lot more from here on out, I've got an android and its working great.

Version 1.3.3 released yesterday on the iOS App Store. Android version will hopefully be out soon as well.

Crash Fixes!
- Don't crash when attempting to edit upgrades on the first pilot in a list after adding multiple pilots
- Fix crash when searching for upgrades
- Fix crash when searching for pilot
Save lists more often so that if more crashes crop up the whole list won't be lost.
Squadrons list should remain filtered when returning to that view from viewing a specific list.
Sheathipede should show the auxiliary arc symbol.
