I'm fairly certain that they don't but if you really think he should be rewarded for all of his efforts on our behalf, there is always the patreon you could contribute to.

Well, I have my paints for the first batch of minis I'm going to paint. I plan to start with the Stormtroopers, followed by some combination of the E-Web Engineers, Heavy Stormtroopers, and Kayn Somos. I can get a lot of mileage from Mechanicus Standard Grey, Scar White, Leadbelcher, Runefang Steel, Nuln Oil, and 'Ardcoat before getting into other colors.

I still need to get the spray primer and varnish, and a desk to do it all on. I plan to get all that tomorrow.

I agree! Sorastro's painting videos took me from a hesitant 'I'd love to paint but ehhh I don't know how' to having all of my Imperial Assault, Twin Shadow, and now starting on my Descent figures painted. FFG would only benefit from helping fund Sorastro in his videos, whether it be paint or figures, maybe even some before they launch to the rest of the world to hype up the anticipation!

They are a huge pain. And for some reason FFG plastic mold lines are much more resilient than say, Games Workshop plastic...

Different types of plastics creates different problems. The mold lines in FFG's miniatures are horrible

i don't use sorastro's tips to paint my miniatures. i have my own style of painting. it doesn't mean i don't appreciate what he does or admire his work though because i do

I've started painting my X-Wing ships since there are way fewer steps. Bought 3 colors and Nuln Oil and have made some ships that I'm very happy with. Now that I feel comfortable painting on "easy mode" i'll be trying out Sorastro's videos on my IA stuff soon.

Ooh, can't wait for Boba Fett. I played the first Twin Shadows campaign mission on Tuesday and Boba Fett completely obliterated the rebels and I won Boba Fett as an ally. Now I only had the punchboard token but now I just have to buy the real figure.

I had the Nexus lined up for painting but I had to paint Kayn Somos first as he'll probably make an appearance in the mini campaign. And I probably paint the heavy troopers too since I'm more likely to use them than Nexus in the campaign (I'm playing the Military Might deck). Shame that painting black and white is kinda boring (though highlighting good white is surprisingly hard) after painting more colorful figures.

I've been pondering future episodes.

Looking at the figures left from wave 1 and new in 2 I think there are some efficient ways to get through some of it.

I feel like there is a 3 minute "quicky with Sorastro" that covers the minor changes needed for the new Stormtroopers (both the heavies and Samos"

Maybe something similar for the different attachments for General Weiss.

I feel like Han and the Rebel Troopers are very similar. Same with Luke and Sand peeps...

I'm just thinking out loud... In text... And all of that after Fett of course. Probably other heroes too.

I'm probably going to give IG-gy a treatment very similar to what Sorastro did for the probe droids. Keep it simple while still getting what should be a good result.

I'm making some decent progress I think, Ive got all 9 Stormtroopers up to the wash with Nuln Oil step and will start on the white layering tonight. I will have to say I hate Green Stuff already, I got a clump in my hair and Vaseline in my eye. It was not one of my best moments.
