YT2400 & VT49 UK stock shortages

By Gadge, in X-Wing

Just picked up my pre orders of both from my local store and found out they have only recieved half of their order due to distribution problems from FFG.

They have enough to meet their pre orders and a *few* left over.

If you're planning on getting them in the UK get them sooner than later as i think these might be in short supply for a while.

Kel suprise!

However the good news is that there are still hundreds of ewings and defenders on the shelves :)

Yup my LGS received one quarter of what they ordered. Luckily I was the second person to pre-order in the city ;)

Yeah shop where my family live got *nothing* hence having to pick up something they were going to get for me myself!

Ooooooooh ...

More ships that are in short supply for the UK and the rest of the world ...

Falcon hate redux ... :P

Can we hear from ffg as to when we'll get our full stock allocation. If is because of the weather then fair enough, but at least some idea on what's what. That would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im sorry for the guy telling everybody to wait till friday....

Why Friday?

Because he thinks they will be on sale than, for black friday. They might be.. but only if they are still there..

I had a conversation with Andrew from Board Game Extras a while back and he told me that they (meaning BGE) always hold some stock back that won't be available for pre-order so they actually have something to sell come release day.

They might be worth a look if you've been let down elsewhere

I was told the reason for the short supply to the uk was weather problems in the states.

Im not sure if thats the case but its what my local store were told.

My local have two set aside for me until Friday (payday for me, yay) so I can get them then.

To celebrate the release of the YT-2400 and the V-49 today I bought a TIE fighter (to take me to seven), an E-Wing (I'm thinking of running Corran alongside one of my two Falcons) and three Z-95's (to run alongside one of my two Falcons... Did I mention I have two Falcons?). There's plenty of time to pick up wave 5 when I've finished playing with wave 4! :P

So, the wrong kind of snow... Has FFG hired an ex-British Rail executive or something?

Got one of each from my flgs but it was the last decimator

**** glad I preordered early

Wrong sort of leaves floating in the port. Can't dock if its the wrong sort of leaves. Maybe FFG will run a bus replacement service to the states for us to pick them up there.....

For those of our US cousins wondering what on earth we're on about a few years ago the UK rail network ground to a halt because of snow on the tracks, when queried about contingency plans in place for a type of weather you sort of get every year in the UK and that countries like germany and norway have no issues with a spokesman said it was the 'wrong type of snow'

We've also had trains cancelled because of 'leafs on tracks'

Usually trains are cancelled though because we have a woefully inadequate and overpriced system that is entrenched in the vicotrian era... we still have 'first class' carriages which are about three times the cost of a normal seat, usually consist of totally empty carriages as hardly anyone is that foolish to pay more for six inches more legroom and a free cup of tea and to really make us all love the rail service when its rush hour they put on a train of six carriages, three of which are first class so everyone is crammed into the other three as you get fined for using first class with a standard ticket even if you're disabled and otherwise have to stand up in 'standard'.

There is a reason why people dont stop using cars and get on the trains in the uk

right OT rant over...

I got a YT 2400 today, as the store got them in, looks like he will be out soon though a couple guys got 2 Decimators, and I may need to get one of each more.. lol.. had my Decimator since Gen Con..

So, along with my wave 5 preorder, I also ordered a pony CCG pack. The ponies are delayed to the UK, and are now holding up my order -.-

I can only guess that in such a situation, if there are stock shortages I will automatically be one of the customers assigned to wait for a restock on the wave 5 ships. Which will no doubt now hold up my ponies >.<

I think the following sums it up quite well...

To be fair, FFG aren't advertising them as available yet, they still say shipping.

Book Depositary had Decorators available for £20 for about five minutes, but I missed it transferring money about :(

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR CHOOSING A NAME THAT'S HARD TO SPELL!

Its more choosing a name that say 'really ineffective'

Decimation was a roman ritual punishment for units that had performed badly or dishonourably in battle. One man in ten was chosen to be killed by his squad mates.

At the very least it means 'inflicting 1 in 10 casualties on the enemy'

I mean thats not *very* awe inspiring.

Oh no.. we're up against decimators!

Thats ok we've a 90 per cent chance of getting out of this unscathed.
