I hope you're wrong about this. If it went on the boat next week I think it would have a chance of making it in time for the holiday, but I'm not holding my breath.

Always 6+ weeks on the boat. Wave 5 took 8-9 weeks on the boat.

Enough of us can figure this out for ourselves by this point.

It would be nice if FFG kept the Upcoming page properly updated as situations arise, but it's probably better to post a date when the status actually changes instead of continuing to advance it as a guess.

If they put down Q1 2015, would we believe them? I would hope a padding of 3 months would be enough... but I don't know.

i Do not blame FFG for delays at all and i totally understand that they should only update when they have something concrete. however, i would not keep my expectations so high to play Scum during my holiday break which i hope to do if they said Q! 2015 =D

I'm pretty sure it's distribution issues rather than conscious release acceleration.

Don't get your hopes up. Wave 5 still hasn't been released, they haven't spoiled everything yet, and they're releasing a whole faction at once. You'll be lucky to get them Q1 2015.

Same here. I smiled at the Q4 SCUM talk in one of the GenCon video interviews a few months ago.

I was like: "Yeah right buddie... all of this cool new stuff will be in our hands in the next four months... sure it will."

I was thinking more like a late January 2015, early February 2015 release at the earliest. I mean, the previews for Wave 6 aren't even all done yet.

I don't think there is a chance we will see scum before feb, more likely March. I don't blame FFG for how long things take, but I do wish FFG would more realistic with their release dates. When has an Xwings release not been put off at least once.

Last time something was set to be released 4th quarter it ended up coming out in...May? Imperial Aces was bad, this is probably not going to be as bad but I don't expect it before February.

I think you are right. Ive seen a dutch webshop that has announced a mid January release. It was the 17th or 11th, I think. But if wave 5 is in my hands before Christmas I'll be a happy man!

Why do you need official confirmation of what you already know? There is literally 0% chance of it arriving Q4 if it is still at the factory. Everyone knows it by now. Scum will arrive when it arrives.

As much as I would like to have Wave 6 before Christmas, given the recent release history of X-wing miniatures with the last 2 waves and the rebel aces set I actually set my expectations to sometime next year.

Now with game products I will accept delays to ensure quality control and appropriate testing. Still I would appreciate more accurate estimates on release dates or if there are delays that pushes beyond the latest estimate to be announced prior to the last day of the last estimate.

I would love to see them switch production to Mexico or even (gasp!) domestically. I know a lot of companies have moved to Mexico to avoid these huge transport delays. That would make a huge difference to their schedules. Not to mention getting old waves back into production. The amount of money they could be making on Falcons alone right now would be something.

You do understand that they know this. They've known this since the game has existed. Supplies last a decent amount of time now, but ordering reprints is still more an art than science. Especially if something comes out that accelerates the demand of a certain product. Remember, the reprints also have to take up time that could be used for new product. We know now that they have 2 factories, and that should help the production of supply. Still can't help the transportation of supply.

Also, I imagine they use China because it is also better for their worldwide partners.

I for one an happy that scum won't be out till next year, gives me breathing room to start on my TIE pilot suit for con's and still have money for the new expansions.

Do we have confirmation that FF means the same thing we think they do when they say Q4 2014? When I hear 4th quarter, I immediately assume fiscal year which can mean something like April 2014 to April 2015. Which means Q4 2014 would be sometime after January 15 or so.
