Darth Vader denied the vote!

Excuse me righteous democrats, why the negative comments for republicans? This one thing I absolutely hate about this forum. Many get real righteous if some looks cross but offer out insults to others without even seeing it.

Those poor voters that you insist republicans are trying to repress had to have an ID for any government assistance program they sign up on. So why does it then become mean yo ask they produce that same ID for one of our most sacred rights? Every state also has free or reduced costs for ID for the indigent. Every state also has a law that requires citizens to have an ID. So I'm still missing the part where I'm trying to run off voters.

Having no ID requirements just lends to fraud. That applies to any subject matter.

I'm not american let alone a democrat i vote conservative here in the UK, but it behoves me to break this too you but everyone outside the americas think's republicans are crazy, we look at our own political mess and think "at least we arnt america" .

I watch fox news every day and the O'Reilly factor its a great comedy show.

The night mitt lost was a treasure, all those disbelieving faces and carl roves reaction was just priceless, it's stored on my sky box for posterity.

Obama is a disappointment but it could of been so much worse if another clown like bush got in.

The "political spectrum" I use to classify people is not a simple linear axis, it is a sphere with 3 axes running through it.

The first and easiest to understand is the libertarian/totalitarian axis, or anarchy/tyranny. How much do you think your governmental entity should nanny you? How much trust do you have in your overlords? This axis dictates how you feel about a wide variety of issues from gun-grabbing, welfare, and even abortion Before you rush to judgement recall that no matter what Ben Franklin says giving a certain amount of freedom up is ok as long as it means highways have speed limit signs.

The second is the jingoism/moral relativism axis. This determines how strongly you believe in the superiority and 'right to power' of your culture. Culture in this case can be as broad or as specific as you define it, as long as you regard it as your own. Before you rush to judgement, know that being a moral relativist means you have to endorse ALL cultures, and culture means to an individual what they want it to mean. Despotic Communism, Radical Islam, Nazism, and even NAMBLA (clear your cache after you google that one) all represent cultures alternative to your own that you will have to believe are just as legitimate as your own.

The last and by far the most difficult to truly understand is the 'minority/majority ruler-ship' axis. Who do you think should have the power/more rights/more privileges in society? Before you rush to judgement, as everyone would hate to imagine themselves as endorsing a majority tyranny, understand you cannot achieve a perfect balance and having the laws of a nation literally be "your rights end where my feelings begin" can be just as bad. Do you think that the work your ancestors did in establishing society should pay off for you, or do you think when your parents die their estate should be divided up amongst the poor? Both statements represent extremes on this axis.

Just my two credits.

Dislike Republicans all you want. But it was thrown out here that it is Republicans committing all the voter fraud. Thanks for calling anyone with a different political view a criminal. That is as accurate if I suggested all X group are (blank). I could post something offensive there but then ironically others would be upset. Many here like to make insulting humor or comments at other groups offense and without even a thought about it. Maybe consider for a moment that this international community may just consist of groups you do not consider yourself to be among.

Despite what has been posted, no you don't need an ID to vote nor do you have to produce birth certificate, etc... to register to vote. You can vote without an ID or your registration card.

So let me get this straight, Republicans who want voter ID are committing the voter fraud and are also the ones usually against illegal immigration. Seems rather contrasted a bit. But Democrats who want no ID voting and illegal immigration are not the ones who would benefit from such voter fraud? Hmm... okay.

But for the record, I just completed an investigation of 3 political volunteers. These individuals would go out in the community and register people to vote. Now without providing any details in this case, here are some generic facts: All three were operating using false names; most of them had extensive criminal records; all three were found to be disposing of registered voters they enlisted if they were of the wrong group according to these volunteers. None of the three were Republicans.

Tell me again who all the criminals are...

I'm a Conservative. I have voted for democrats, independents, and republicans. Republicans have been the majority however. I vote for the person not the letter in parenthesis after their names.

Radarman, you would get my vote. :P

Also, having read the "sausages stuffed with offal and sawdust" comment, I can't concentrate on anything other than the feeling of sawdust on my tongue now...

Yeah - if we want a politician to tell us that a particular natural disaster is the result of god's anger at allowing gay's to marry or for teaching demonstrable realities in the science classroom, we just ring up a member of the UK Independence Party for a quote.

They're great for a little comic relief, but no-one is ever expected to take what they say seriously or consider them even remotely suitable to forma government.
