I think you would only get 3 dice from the Autoblaster turret. AT only has 2 dice at Range 1 = 3 Dice with Kavil.

Horton Salm + R3-A2 + BTL-A4 + Ion Cannon turret
Give 2 stress and a Ion token in a round for total trolling.... ;P

Yeah the BTL card is a bit of a gamble like that.

I know that the pack comes with stuff for the firespray even though it doesn't come with the ship. But this seems to me that you can repurpose Z-95's and Y-Wings as well. I don't see how we can do this if we are not allowed to reuse our Rebel Dials.
The Most Wanted pack comes with Scum dials for a Firespray, a HWK and an extra Y-Wing (in addition to Scum dials for the Y-Wing and two Z-95s that come as models in the pack). So you can reuse your Firespray, HWK and Y-Wing models, but not anything else that came with them (aside from generic upgrades).
Im jealous of the Agromech. I would love to get the Blaster Turret to work well for the Rebels, but alas, it seems the Scum are more efficient at it than the Alliance.
BTL makes an EU on your Ys more desirable.

Only real threat I see is PS9 Kavil but staying in R3 of a Y-Wing isn't terribly difficult.
He's essentially an opposite Outrider. For 30 points, he makes a Y-wing pretty **** deadly.
Staying at range 3 is easier said than done. The Y will likely be moving last. I like him with an ICT too. 4 attack dice will likely ensure that you'll end up ionized.

I'm not convinced this is going to be all that awesome. The Y-wing's maneuverability is bad enough that it lives and dies with the turrets, and none of them seem like great options:
Ion Turret: Probably the best, but at 5 points it's an expensive option
Blaster Turret: You're going to have a hard time coming up with tokens to make both attacks effective in the first place, this one eating an extra focus in the process is just going to make it worse
Autoblaster Turret: MAYBE good since it's both cheap and can produce somewhat effective attacks on its own, but also Range 1 only. It does solve the "Just use your primaries" problem, at least.
So... we'll see, I guess.

With a blaster turret sure, but not an autoblaster turret.

Hmm, thinking on this further... Kavil is only okay when it comes to delivering torpedoes. Maybe Lone Wolf, or PtL would work alright, but you're definitely taking a gamble with him. His big strength is certainly with turrets (outside of his normal blaster arc), so either Engine Upgrade or something else movement related would be the best thing on him. Hey, maybe even the dreaded Expose with Experimental Interface as an option! Five dice attacks sound pretty good if you have a Focus and/or Target lock. :3~
Oh yeah, Kaa'to. I'm also kinda interested in how to deploy him, but I immediately thought of having him fly with PtL Boba Fett who has a Recon Specialist onboard. Fett then can use two actions per turn, one of them being either Focus or Evade, which Kaa'to can then take one of those tokens at his leisure. This would make him a really good platform for the more fundamental missile attacks, or just make him an annoyance since focusing down a Z-95 can be tough when it has both a Focus and Evade to use defensively.
Oh derp, Drea. You could almost do a Corran Horn style double tap with her: give her the BTL-A4 title with your turret of choice, getting into range with the target/s in arc. You fire your first shot while using your Target Lock (whether you reroll the dice or not!) and target lock onto the craft you want to do the follow-up attack on. Whether it is the same target or not is up to you, but could be a powerful 1-2 punch.

I honestly don't think this upgrade will be that good. The initial strike will be fine but the Y-wing is easily outmaneuvered . Once a TIE is on it's back unless the y-wing is very tricksy with an engine upgrade it's going to have problems.

Why would you put torpedoes on Kavil? His ability does nothing for them. Drea is a far better choice if you want a Torpedo Platform.
the problem I see is that Echo and Whisper will still roll 99% of these ships without breaking a sweat.

My current fave list of XXYY tends to shred echo every time with Ys in the centre and the xs with spread out arcs.
I can only see more effective Y wings supported by more arc spreading z95s being more of a problem of not being able to decloak without *someone* pegging you.
