MOST WANTED PART 1:

By Babaganoosh, in X-Wing

Drooling over here! Going to have to pick up 2 of these packs (though, no idea what I'm going to do with the Zs... ebay?).

On Drea: Can you spend a lock to fire a Torp, then use the new lock to modify your rolls?

I do believe that's the basic idea.... if only it could be a focus instead for the Adv Torpedo...

What I wonder though is, with the R4 Agromech: If I attack and spend a focus to modify my roll, can I use the target lock just aquired to reroll my dice? If so, does the focus previously spent also modify the eyeball I got with my reroll?

Other than that, very good upgrade and I like what is coming. Rebels might get jealous of some astromechs and pilots, but they still have in my opinion both best one with Dutch and Airen.

Also, Kaa'to Leachos will make a perfect bodyguard.

I think the order is rerolls then focus modification.

Love that Y-wing Title. Its a huge boost to Rebel Y-wings while simultaneously rewarding you for flying that Y-wing well and paying close attention to arcs. Ok, I'm getting into Scum.

Loving R4-B11. Got a really good roll that you don't need to use Target Lock for, only to see your opponent pull off three or four evades? Take a chance and make him roll those again.

What I wonder though is, with the R4 Agromech: If I attack and spend a focus to modify my roll, can I use the target lock just aquired to reroll my dice? If so, does the focus previously spent also modify the eyeball I got with my reroll?

Yes, you could use the target lock to re-roll, (it's intentional, they talk about firing Blaster Turrets with modified attack dice). However, your Focus won't modify any of the re-rolled dice, it has already been spent and only affects the dice it was spent on.

I think the order is rerolls then focus modification.

There is no specific order you have to resolve your own dice modifications in. It just usually makes more sense to save the Focus until after the re-roll.

Scum is looking fantastic and distinctly different from Rebels and Imperials. I am really liking their feel thus far.

Kavil is my new favorite pilot. Question. If using new title with blaster turret do you still need to spend focus token?

According to the rulebook:

''If a player wants to resolve multiple modifying abilities, he resolve them in the order of his choosing.''

Nothing about reroll before focus.

The R4 is going to be better on Blaster Turret ships, or on Y-Wings with the title and an Ion Turret. Spend the focus to use the turret, get a free Target Lock to modify the results with. Or spend one during the primary attack, get one to modify the Ion attack.

That's also my guess.

But in the case of the Blaster turret, they spend it before rolling any attack dice. If you spend the focus on an attack already rolled, I'm not 100% sure that you can modify the current roll with it. I think so, but not 100%.

Hoooooly crap these things look insane! That Y-Wing title wow! Rebels gonna get yet another boost! I feel so bad for Imperial players.

Yay Y-Wings! :D I can't wait to try them out. Too bad they can't take Illicit upgrades though... :(

Time to start practicing dogfighting with Y-wings. Let's see, 4 Golds w/Title, Ion Turret, R2 Astromech, and Title? Salm can end up being outright deadly at Range 2. Primary followed up by a Blaster Turret? Sounds good with his rerolls.

Fun stuff.

This guy is a bruiser. He's a 30-point ship, but he throws four dice in (almost) any direction at range 1 to 2 and gets to spend a target lock on them. I like it a lot.

I'm having trouble coming up with a useful EPT to put on him, though, outside of generic EPTs that anyone can use like Determination or Veteran Instincts.

Kavil, Blaster Turret, R4-Agromech. Sold. Also that title could be very nice for Dutch.

Dutch, R7-T1, autoblaster turret. Range 1 here we come, and with target lock too

I'm not seeing anything I don't like so far and nothing seems broken either.

Y-wings seem to be getting the buff they need which is good.

It's not a rule but it's usually a good idea to reroll before focusing. Your initial roll is Focus, Focus, Blank, Blank. Spending the Focus token first is makes it Hit, Hit, Blank, Blank. You spend your TL to reroll the blanks and get a Blank and a Focus. Your final result is Hit, Hit, Focus, Blank. If you rerolled first it would have been Hit, Hit, Hit, Blank.

Agreed using focus before TL makes little sense I've never done it that way myself.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I never said that it was a good idea, just that there is not an order as stated by Kyrios so you might, in that case, spend a focus token to get a TL. It's like Solo crew, only better because you take a focus instead of a TL during the action phase.

Also, sidenote, you do not mess around with R4-B11. It like they added a turbolaser onto the little droid...

"By repurposing some of your existing starships, the Most Wanted Expansion Pack kick starts your Scum faction with enough firepower that it can immediately take the fight to Rebel and Imperial forces."

I know that the pack comes with stuff for the firespray even though it doesn't come with the ship. But this seems to me that you can repurpose Z-95's and Y-Wings as well. I don't see how we can do this if we are not allowed to reuse our Rebel Dials.

the problem I see is that Echo and Whisper will still roll 99% of these ships without breaking a sweat.

Only real threat I see is PS9 Kavil but staying in R3 of a Y-Wing isn't terribly difficult.

It also comes with dials for a HWK and a second Y-wing. Assuming you have the other ships, Most Wanted comes with enough for 2 Z-95s, 2 Y-wings, a HWK, and a Firespray for Scum. Should have some variety for 100pts.

I like the idea of a PS9 4 attack autoblaster turret.
