KH DSi

By rpgfreak25, in Odds & Ends

Xion's voice sounds a little off from what I expected. However, they posted the big scans of the NP article on KHUltimania which are really nice. Also, in an interview with Nomura, he did announce that some people voice actors could not make it. This isn't that good, because I'm hoping they didn't replace anymore people with Kingdom Hearts characters. I know they replaced in past games:

Namine:
Original- Brittany Snow
New- Meaghan Jette Martin (Camp Rock crap)

Kairi:
Original- Hayden Panitierre
New- Alyson Stoner (more Camp Rock crap)

I've heard that Xion is being VAed by Alyson Stoner.

I wouldn't be shocked, she has a voice close to Kairi's + I think it was NP that said that she also looks just like her too.

Well, I'm on Day 53 or something near that and the enemies are tough! I mean, I even got KOed by a Dusk... And being burned is annoying.

I hated being burned. What difficulty are you on. It never got hard for me until really late in the game, and even that wasn't too hard.

Um...beginner... I always do beginner on my first playthrough.

But my friend had insomnia and stayed up all night yesterday to play it on his emulator... He beat it in one night...

...wow...I'm playing on normal now. I decided to erase my file, because I was too tempted to watch theater mode, and spoil the game, so I forced myself too erase my file. I am currently almost done with normal mode (I already finished beginner), and I will most likely erase this too, because I dont' want to spoil it....

Yeah only watching the last 3 Cutscenes will Spoil anything.

Iv seen them all and I couldent get anything from them

...oh well that sounds pretty good I gue-NOOOOO! TEMPTATIONS! MEYAHHHHHH! *runs into a wall*

My friend may get a flashcart so he'll be able to play with me in multiplayer! He the type who spams buttons without strategy though. I let him play on my DS and he finished the mission with a sliver a health because he never dodge rolled or guarded nor used items or magic. Plus he was using Saix which I think is one of the better characters... Even using his limit didn't help him.

But that's good for me, I'll be able to get lots of gold crowns that way if I strategize! Anyhow, I was messing around with the characters in mission mode. I particularly like how SE made Xemnas's Guard the wall of energy instead of something like a normal block with his aerial blades. I like how Xigbar plays, but once you are surrounded, there is no way you are going to survive. Saix is awesome at combos.

Saix has a horrible limit break though. Even when locking-on, it can't help you, as he goes berserk in a straight direction. For that reason, he tends to hit the enemy 1-2 times, which isn't enough damge. My favorite limit breaks, are the ones like Roxas' and Larxene's where you can control where you go and what you hit. It isn't determined by range.

Today, I played the game nonstop in the only mission in The World That Never Was (so far) where you face the nobodies constantly for a minute. I did this too test all of the 13 available characters from the beginning. I tested each of them twice, one too see how they could fair without limit breaks and potions, and then the second time too see how well there limit break is, and how easily it could be acheived (easier too get=weaker defense) The standings were as follows:

*Remember , this test is too test how good they are alone, without any help, and all enemy attacks focused on them. This also tests the number of points they can collect in that certain amount of time, how many they can kill, and how well they might do in multiplayer mode.

MP= Mission points on 1st run (w/o potion or limit break)
LB= with only limit break
X= how many times they died

# ------------------------- MP ---deaths in MP--- X (in MP) --------------------- LB ---deaths in LB--- X
1) Xemans------------56-----------------------------0---------------------------13------------------------0
2) Xigbar---------------23-----------------------------0---------------------------14------------------------0
3) Xaldin---------------41-----------------------------0---------------------------45------------------------0
4) Vexen---------------30-----------------------------0----------------------------12-----------------------0
5) Lexaeus-----------20------------------------------1---------------------------14------------------------0
6) Zexion--------------32------------------------------1---------------------------19-----------------------1
7) Saix-----------------51------------------------------0----------------------------24-----------------------0
8) Axel-----------------59------------------------------0----------------------------32-----------------------0
9) Demyx-------------44------------------------------0-----------------------------12----------------------1
10) Luxord------------62-----------------------------0------------------------------5-----------------------2
11) Marluxia----------45-----------------------------0------------------------------9-----------------------0
12) Larxene----------72-----------------------------0------------------------------42---------------------1
13) Roxas------------67-----------------------------0------------------------------24---------------------1

From those results, for now, I think that the best in my opinoin are:

1) Xemnas (pause between combos, but combos are very fast, and this limit break shrouds him in a mystical purple cloak, that inflicts damage)
2) Xaldin (long range, and limit break similar too Xemnas, but farther range)
2) Larxene (really good at picking up items, and using a hit-and-run strategy, didn't know whether she or Xaldin was better)
3) Axel (fast, and has a very powerful limit break, very useful)
4) Xigbar (weak alone, but their is strength in numbers)

Likewise, I think that the 2 worst are:

1) Zexion (seems slows, range in long, but only with one move, that I have with each weapon, some don't even have long range, and they are all weak and short)
2) Lexaeus (highest attack and power, but way too slow, and can be hit multiple times, cancelling his attack)

Okay, so I just got my real copy of Days today. Now my question is, should I stop playing on my r4 and start over on the actual ds cart? I'm currently on day 95 I think. However, staying with the r4 will give me a backup save file on my computer, me already being farther into the game, and a link panel arrangement that I'm happy with. With the DS cart, I have an actual cart, less of a chance for something to go wrong since it is the actual cart, and I can actually have it on the DS menu screen instead of an R4 screen.

I think you should finish the game on Beginner on the R4, and then do Normal on the real DScart, along with Proud mode too.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Which do you think is better?

1. 4 hits in a combo (2 in air) with 94 attack power [brown hexagon panel equipped with two ability panels (yellow circles)]

or

2. 7 hits in a combo (I think) (3 in air) with 79 attack power [pink circle panel with two ability panels]

But wow, halfway through the game and I'm only level 20.

EDIT: I unlocked Xion in Mission Mode!

Whoot, halfway there! (somewhere near Day 174; I just beat the ramming heartless in Beast's Castle)

Okay, so it seems SE originally did have Pinocchio's world. http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/kh358/sheet/24287

There are sprites of Geppetto, Pinocchio as a boy, and two other characters from it.

Riku unlocked! I just need to go up 3 more ranks for Donald and Goofy. But 100% on missions to unlock Sora is going to be annoying especially in the mission on day 353 where Debris Flow appears.

I had everyone except Sora in my first file (which I erased), I'm not getting even near that now, in hopes of not spoiling anything, so I only have Xion. And have stopped just past Day 100.

P.S. Heres the thing with the choices, choice 1 is better in air and does more damage there, and can be done multiple times faster, but choice 2 is better on ground. So the choice mainly depends on whether you jump a lot or not. I do, so choice 1 would prove better for me.

I've gone with the second but upgraded to the one with 3 empty links in it instead of 2. I do jump but only for bosses/hard enemies that require it/use it for a good strategy. Like that black Search Ghost boss in Halloweentown needed jumping as it was so high in the air. And those big Ice Cubes, I jump to avoid the shockwaves while damaging it at the same time.

Day 256!!!

How hard is the coffin boss? I'm not there yet, but there was a root enemy in the end of one of my missions as well as a cutscene. Also, I saw a video of it. And I've seen comments saying how hard it is as the attack from the coffin can OHKO you.

So, how hard did you find it? Lately the bosses have been leaving me with little HP left or with all my Curas used up/Hi-Potions used up.

If your in beginner too like I was, it never was that hard for me, from start too finish. That was my only problem with this game, I found it was too simple (not as much as KH2, but at least they had nice cutscenes for their reaction commands).

...it's OK, I'd rather not....it's not that I don't want to read it, but reading it may reveal too much information that I didn't want too know...thanks anway. I bought the NP issue finally, and it not only has 358/2 Days, but some Tatsunoko vs. Capcom too, which I also have in Japanese for the Wii, but I'll probably get in in NA too.

K, I'll just say since you already know from playing and some has nothing to do with the story.

96 talks about how Roxas thinks it was easy to fight with a wooden stick and the translator's comment is " NO WE BLOODY DIDN'T, I HAD TO FIGHT A BOSS WITH A GODDAMN WOODEN STICK, YOU STUPID BOY "

Then on Days 151 and 152, Roxas asks himself what is the difference between boys and girls.
