Umm, they trained together in the Imperial academy, and on another note about him, he actually defected to the New Republic, and served with Rogue Squadron for a time. Then he disappeared. He actually went to the unknown regions and lived with the Chiss. He is also ironically enough, the brother-in-law of Wedge.

Flash backs are a bit of a leap. Carrie Fisher's daughter doesn't look like a younger version of Leia. However, if she even is in the film and wasn't simply visiting, she could be Han and Leia's daughter.

I suspect she was simply visiting myself.

Actually I believe the rumor was John Boyega was a stormtrooper that was destined to defect. At least I think that was what it was. Not that anything is confirmed. But that was the must rumored of the Stromtrooper rumors.

I know that, I meant JJ might treat it like a reboot by doing to many flashbacks instead of just working with what we already have from the 6 movies. I don't want half the film taken up with new JJ backstory.

they could time travel I believe Jacen Solo did a form of Time travel in one of the EU Books. Some kind of Time walk when he was Darth Cadeous

I think the 181st had their flight suits changed to white from black, but I don't think Fel was ever mentioned leading squads of Stormtroopers, rather Squadrons of TIE Fighters and Interceptors....

Regardless, I think they'll throw the EU in the bag and do their own route. We've been so hammered with a torrential volume of EU books and comics and such, that it is hard to think that the plot would NOT involve those characters. I think though, that they will trying to go their own route, and it'll look a lot different.

I feel like there will be some pretty vicious fighting against the Empire, as unlike in the EU where somehow an enormous Imperial Star Destroyer Armada is defeated by a small and damaged rebel force, JJ will have the Empire get really pissed and bring that hammer down. I don't think the Rebellion won at the Deathstar II destruction, but just made strong headway in securing greater support. The Empire was far from defeated.

I could be wrong, but I think Daisy is playing Han and Leia's daughter, and Carrie Fisher's real daughter is playing flashback Leia.
