while a delay wouldnt surprise me the fact that they just told us it'll be out this week makes me think they couldnt possibly be that inaccurate.

Well I hope you are right, but then again in the FFG report in gencon the presenter also said The Road Darkens was available to be sold, when it wasn't. Just saying that we can't trust announcements.

Yea, I'm getting a bit worried too now.

Normally speaking the upcoming page pretty accurate, on when a cycle starts and continues with releases each month.

They updated the upcoming page accordingly, but now with tRD it can't be right.

My guess is that they will release tRD first now, as the release of this month, and continue next month with the cycle.

They did so last year with tBR in the Against the Shadow cycle too.

The upcoming page just updated to say it is On the Boat. Still says expected by Q3, which I find highly doubtful considering Q4 is less than 2 weeks away.

Any idea whats caausing all these delays? IPhone 6 shipping? Putin's embargo? Orcs from Mordor?

Which is interesting considering how many packs were "expected by Q3". Nin-in-Eilph and Celebrimbor's Secret were both for Q3, and The Road Darks was for Q3 until this latest update. Nin-in-Eilph is on the boat at least.

As much as I'm disappointed about these delays, I'd rather have delayed products than poor quality products. It's kinda like the Blizzard games. They're often delayed, but that's because they care about the fact that they would be releasing a product of poor quality if they released it on time. I'm assuming, though, that the issue here has more to do with the capacity of the printers or being organized than with the quality of product. I guess we'll never know.

The Road Darkens and Nin-in-Eilph were created and playtested ages ago. If we still recieved a poor quality product (which is still possible as we've had bad expansions/packs before), well, shame on FFG again, but at least we know they have believed for quite a while that these products are of good quality. I'm pretty sure the delays are due to deficient logistics and being organized, as you said. Product quality (which people here have for some reason been using to defend FFG's delays) has nothing to do with the delay.

I agree with you though in this case I think the fault lies not in development but distribution, and it was probably outside of FFG'S control.

According to the original schedule, ALL of the Ring-maker Cycle was due out by Q3. I agree that it is very unlikely to be a development issue since the expansion box and cycle are all developed at once (according to FFG).
