Now I know why they don't make tokens for upgrade actions because you don't spend them the same way you would with a focus or a target lock. The only thing a token will do is reminding you of marksmanship effects or R2-F2 giving you +1 agility. I have used the objective tokens with the green computer screen at times. Too bad they don't have driod and medal tokens to use in the game.
What tokens do you use for upgrade actions.
We just played this today. Both Expose and R2F2. The best solution imo is just to put the CARD on the table next to the ship!! It worked wonderfully! Just remove it as you would normally do for focuses and evades.
I use these from Cog'o'Two:

best tokens ever

Edited by Mace WinduI actually made some myself. I made some Astromech tokens, a bunch of Elite 'medal' tokens and some crew tokens. I just used the icons from the cards and printed them onto some card. Works a treat. And cost me like $0.50 for the lot.
I designed some for Applied Perspective:

Some are not available yet, but will be soon.
3CPO for once his ability has been used. Greedo/Rodian just because he looks cool. General EPT medal for Marksmanship, or Expose or whatever else comes. Droid token for R2F2 or whatever else. The No Attack one is for Corran Horn. There is a version on a crit hit token for Blinded Pilot as well.
Edited by HexisThere's that "soon" again, Hexis... I keep drooling over your new tokens.
Am I the only one around here who uses those crit tokens to designate an upgrade action? (I never use them or their intended purpose anyway).
The applied perspective tokens are pretty cool, I just feel like we already have a bazillion tokens as it is lol.
The tokens above are just really cool.
My cheap solution is to use the "tracking" tokens that came with the core set. When a player declares one of these special action/effect, they just place one of the tracking token down.
I can only do the art. It's up to Adam to get em on the his web store. ![]()

Oh, I know... I'm just SUPER impatient. ![]()
droid and elite talent ones are up there... I have some already! ![]()
I use the crit token to mark Corran if he can't shoot in a round. I use the cards for upgrades.
Wow, I don't have any custom tokens, but I find the card works fine for any upgrade token.
I use some of the special mission specific tokens, or we just remember

I painted the edges of all of my tokens. So I did up pairs of focus tokens with red, blue and purple edges for use as representing upgrade actions. They stand out easily from the normal tokens due to the bright edges so that there is no confusion.
Best idea I have seen is to use the Energy tokens from the huge ships.
Why not put your upgrade card beside the ship? That way you know you've used it.
Because the cards are huge and get in the way.

Unless you are fighting a tie swarm vs a tie swarm or maybe an epic battle, I don't really see your point.
On the other hand, it's a good excuse to buy more tokens!! ![]()
A swarm, or things are in tight formation, or just ships near each other, you know like every game.
I just took some crit tokens, painted the crit symbol over with black, and then painted the needed symbols on top of that. I have an EPT, a droid, and a "no attack" (for Corran). Just takes some patience. Or a printer and some glue, if painting isn't your thing ![]()

Do you got some photos of those custom tokens?
