If you are worrying about the future of X-wing

By Babaganoosh, in X-Wing

Everything about this interview made me happy.

Awesome look into the design philosophy and proof that these guys love the game as much as we do!

XWMG looks to be in good hands. Keep it coming!

Interesting to note that they read these forums too - Hey guys! Thank you so much!

Their excitement was absolutely infectious. I am still grinning.

Also, Tie Advanced fans have faith!

Firespray- same value. Good to hear. Boba the Beast! Also good to hear. Confirms they will reprint pilots. I'm betting on a free TL acquire during placement and a free reroll attacking or defending when he has a TL.

How are you reading this and haven't seen what the new boba is?

Here's the card:

Is that Boba for real?

If so it seems awesome.

It will annoy me if I get to fly cool Boba for the Scum faction but only have access to dull Boba for my Imperials.

Imperials are opposed to all the cool stuff, like disintegrations. Their hired help is always going to be dull.

When the reward is the same for both dead or alive, Boba chooses disintegration.

I hadn't seen that, cheers:)

No word on Imperial Epics, but still, this was a sweet interview, a lot of information that eases our minds. They won me over with scum, it will be fun!

Two take aways: you're going to hate seeing Scum HWKs across the table and Interceptor fliers will be happy for an upgrade in the Star Viper pack.

based on art alone in guessing the card got interceptors is inertial dampners.

My biggest concern is that ffg is releasing too fast. Most of us don't have aces or the new big ships in hand and what seven more just got previewed?

Dampeners are an Illicit upgrade. The Hypermaneuverables upgrade is Autothrusters (you can see it in the Starviper's fan), and the Starviper's got two so they should be easy to stock up on.

Vader offered a substantial reward to who ever found the Millenium Falcon; who knew it was a new pilot ability?

(sry just watched ESB)

No word on Imperial Epics,

Well, you could inteprid the remark on Empire not getting a "super synergy" ship in a fashion that an Imperial Epic Ship will be more combat oriented

I refuse to pronounce the Scyk the way they do.

skik people!!! :)

at around 16:37, did they just drop a little hintette that they will be improving the TIE Advanced with a Title card?

BTW in case I was being too cryptic, my guess is that they were hinting at a new title card for the TIE Adv

I appreciate that they mentioned upgrade cards in the same sentence, but given the tone of the discussion and their professed love for the most recognisable ships I can't see them settling for that for such an iconic ship

Dear SantaFFG Claus - for Christmas I'd like a fixed TIE Advanced in a Battle of Yavin Boxed set ..... pretty please

Was looking at the article, and noticed... PS5 FIRESPRAY GENERIC!

I'm still not sure about this Boba-workin-for-tha-imps thing. Educate me, please; can imperial players choose the new and deadlier Boba?

The HWK shall rise like a Dark Phoenix!

No, the new Fett card is Scum & Villainy only.

I don't think that's been made clear yet, but if the new faction is simply a new faction equal to the others, then any card from that faction wouldn't be anymore legal to use then say throwing in a Tie fighter into a rebel fleet.

Yup its how I understand right now, but I think it would be interesting if the new faction had some sort of mercenaries rule where either of the other two factions can use any of the ships/pilots from the new faction. If that where the case though I think they would have said that right up front because that would have massive impact on tournament play at this point and its likely the new faction would have been balanced differently.

Dayum that's a nice HWK.

...As a dedicated HWK pilot, I am OH so intrigued...

EDIT: I am also sorry for my indignance about Scyk. I had no idea.

Real pleasure to watch this interview, just wanted to say to Alex and Frank: good job!

That Tie Advanced comment is great, as is that there'll be a turret counter for the interceptors. I do still think that the turrets make things a little too easy, and wish that the Imperials had just a little more synergy, but I'll take them at their word and wait for it to balance out. Seeing a bit of info on the new faction does make it seem like there'll be good variety in this after all.

yeah here is what they need to do.. Not make any more Tie advanced then release some card fixes for it ONLY that make it super cool. that way all the folks that have been hating it cant get it once it gets fixed..lol

OH!

Just watched the video again ad I think they might have let slip that the M3-A has a generic with an EPT.

Well, it does have a PS5 generic.

Can people od on too much fan appreciation let's hope not.

Nice to know games in the hands of passionate people unlike 40k that's in the hands of accountants.
