Im extremely pissed

I already had my rant and got a lot off on my chest, but ya, extremely pissed

I feel FFG has totally took us for fools.

They released epic ships. Gave us tournament rules but only one side got huge ships.
It's only natural for us to think that they were working on imperial ships.

Guess not.

I said this in another thread, but I feel as though Armada was a result after they made the huge ships, and since then shifted all their attention on that new game, and dropped the huge ships in xwing, leaving us who bought into it expensive paper weight.

If there is no imperial huge ships coming out, I have no desire to even want to use mine. Why bother when the points you spend on a tantive are better invested in small ships.
The point cost and energy gained and other issues hampers the tantive against the imperials and I was thinking that along with the imperial huge ships that maybe some upgrades would be released that would help the tantive

How long do you think it takes to design something like Armada? I assure you, it was in the works before the Huge ships were even announced.

I can just imagine someone in marketing or promotions or whatever deciding that announcing more Epic ships simultaneously with the launch of Armada would somehow have a negative impact on said launch, and I'm not sure they'd be wrong. All new epic ships would surely overshadow news of a capital ship game with small versions of similar ships.

While I am disappointed we didn't get them at GenCon, I still feel we will get them... sometime...

I hate stupid Armada and how it is taking over my x-wing facebook groups, subreddits, forums, etc.

The only thing that kinda bums me out is the spoiler schedule -- I was all excited for Rebel Aces & Wave 5, but by the time I get them, it'll just feel like, "Yeah cool, but where the hell's Wave 6?!" I wish the next Wave wouldn't be spoiled until the previous one is out and available to the general public.

That being said, I big heart FFG. Great games, good prices, and more options are always good.

I went 3 mos without using toilet paper ; to save up for the new Epic Imperial ships...Now I have a rash and sticky buns for nothing...

It's annoying even if they do eventually come out. We needed one now.

It will be *ages* if they haven't even got an early version to show us yet.

I feel the same, more so about the CR90 than the GR75. At the same time I'm really excited about the S&V faction being exacaly what I've wanted for almost a year now. I think we'll still get the huge Imperial ships, just not as soon as we'd like.

I'm disappointed with wave 6, its really meh.

But all this hate for armada is surprising, I don't think it will kill epic but I do think they should have put out an imperial something.

I find it seriously funny that people who participate in a miniatures game, one that happens to be the cheapest to play are angry that more options are being given on expanding the enjoyment of the Star Wars universe in gaming.

Have any of you actually purchased or played Games Workshop or other mainstream miniatures games? The initial cost and then upkeep of said games is greatly higher than the entry cost and continued playing of X-Wing. I understand this is a complaint thread but seriously complaining about more options is silly.

Options are great and lovingly welcome.

People (such as I) are complaining that ships with obvious problems have gone completely ignored. And unbalanced epic games continue.

Think of it this way -- I bring my car to the shop, tell them my brakes are squeaking and it pulls to the right needing an alignment. I go sit in the waiting room, they call my name and show me that they installed a new stereo and sunroof.... but hey! I get my choice of air freshener!

Hard to keep pushing/selling CR-90s and the Transports when they have nothing of similar design/use on the Imperial side...

I have no desire for a corvette until I can pit it against an Imperial Carrack Cruiser or something of the sort

Ok, my point being, they must know how much the xwing comunity wants to see an imperial huge ship of some sort.

Knowing that rebel ships were at last gencon, everyone was looking forward to seeing the imperials this year.

I am happy we have 3rd faction, yes the decimator is nice and almost a huge ship. But i just feel let down. They are not afraid to go EU, there are plenty of imperial EU ships that could fit the bill, we have all seen the threads discussing these.

Will i stop playing xwing? No f'n way. Just wanted to shout my disapointment as loud as i could cause i am so disapointed and figured i wasnt the only one.

I love this game and think everything they have done so far has only made it better. It just feels incomplete without huge imperial ships to counter rebels. Hell, a simple system patrol craft woukd have made me happy, just 1 ship.......thats all.

Epic games are unbalanced because the rebel huge sips are rubbish compared to 300 point imperial swarms so that argument doesn't make sense. And you don't have to use the tie advanced so it's not an obvious problem.

The majority of our Monday night X Wing group is not buying Armada. There is a lot of resentment. And no epic ships, though I don't care, is bugging them.

My complaint is simple, FFG you have officially split the X Wing community. Not smart.

I want people to be happy and not complain pointlessly about getting new stuff.

There is no patience. Perhaps the reason they didn't unveil an Imperial Huge ship is because they don't want to unveil them 8-9 months ahead of time like they did with the Transport and Corvette. It's not quite as an exciting announcement as their new games, which they want to highlight.
