Was being obsessed last night and drawing up some epic plans. Saw this. Made my eyes bug out. FFG website was completely down last night. Still kinda slow today.

WHAAATTTT! That's crazy.
On some level, I anticipate the Star Viper will arrive one day. I know lots of people want to see it as part of a pirate faction, but I think it could be justified as part of the Imperials in the same way Boba Fett is. Which is an advantage.

Oh man.. The star viper and specifically the virago was a favorite of mine as a kid. I really really hope this comes to pass in a third faction.

If this is true then I'm afraid to tell you that this will likely be used for imperials.
Prince Xizor was the leader of the black sun, but he also worked for the emperor.
While keeping hidden from the emperor that he was the leader of the black sun.
Had the emperor known this Xizor would probably have been killed a long time ago.
If this ship does come out Xizor would probably be one pilot and then maybe another made up like ffg did with echo, and then a couple generics

It'll be the turning point where this game will probably start to decline, and with the new armada on the horizon that'll just mean those who leave xwing will likely move to that game.
Why?
First off they would have to release a few ships in the third faction to even get caught up to to the amount of ships that the rebels and imperials have
They would probably release another starter or something.
A lot of players don't read that books.
They remember the movies and that is what appeals to them.
Not some guy ship they don't know about. The main focus is the battle between good and evil.
Not good and neutral. Or Evil and neutral.
Let's not even get into balancing issues of issuing a third faction.
Ya, just because a few on here want it doesn't mean that many do.
They have gone this long without a third and I'm pretty certain that's how it's going to be.
If it does happen, then I'll be more than happy to move on to armada, and just use what I have for future games to play with my kids when they get older

I started reading some books and have read some in the past but one reason why I got into this game was for my love of the movies and the battle between the rebellion is what appeals to me, not some hutts and gangsters
