Your Trials Begin
I like how those guardians are supernatural entities and not just some outfitted dunlendlings.
Yeah, the theme of the pack is great. Stonce circles, forest spirits, I want to see the whole pack!
I like how there are 18 victory points right there. Sounds like a good quest for people who care about their score. ![]()
I'm most hyped about Rumil, because in my group, I play monotactics "kill-anything-as-soon-as-it-pops-up" ranged deck. Strong ranged character with a neat ability designed perfectly for my deck.
nice, seems a really creative pack!
"The little people of Stonehenge."

Just watch out for that Treachery that pulls the Guardians out of the victory pile and right back into combat with you. ![]()

Yeah that is 4 damage placed on an enemy right out of the gate if heroes are Bard, Brand and Legolas. Then you have vassals, horseback archers and trollshaw scouts. The bosses in this game could go down just by playing Rumil! lol
Well, I'm running Thalin, Legolas and Bard the Bowman. I value 1 permadamage on most incoming enemies (and instakills of some nasty ones) too much to give it up for third archer.

Is there some LORE thing in tolkien about these stupid masks?
Edited by boooredNope.
Ha, clever, but they're different really. One is a plague doctor and the other a raven. No reference of either in the lore.
i dont know if this is the film lore contaminating my book lore, but i seem to remember a crow or beak shaped helm for orcs or uruks... anyone know of this reference?

Frodo wore that, and checking my book it actually says it was beak-shaped!

thank god
thought i was going to look a real idiot then
Telemnar was a Gondorian king that was laid low by a plague (along with his whole family). Thus, the Telemnar's Bane villain takes on the look of a plague doctor.
Awesome art on the wolf and boar guardians and I actually really like the location art too, its quite simple and bleak but I really like the style, don't see how they are forests though, don't see a single tree in all three pics! ![]()
WOW Warlock Tier8 vs Ravens Guardian
lol..am I embarrassed at ffg or you for knowing these look alike?

Or at least some green grass in the color scheme. I like the Hallowed Circle though.
The art on the sword is actually really awesome as well, plus it looks exactly like the encounter set symbol!
Man this quest looks really really good and most of the few reports I've found so far are saying its one of the best quests to date... bit the bullet and ordered it (and nightmare over hill and under hill) off FFG even with the very expensive postage fees and cannot wait to get my hands on it! Finally no more stupid dunlending savages for a while!
Just found a funny mistake as well, "For example, the Raven’s Guardian (The Three Trials, 42) may have the lowest Attack Strength, Defense Strength, and Hit Points of the three Guardians, but it also has the highest Threat."
Raven's Guardian has 5 defense compared to Boar Guardian with 4 and Wolf Guardian who has 3 making it the Guardian with the most defense.... he does however still have the lowest overall if you combine health + defense.
I don't think any of this is a mistake. All of them have abilities.
P.S.: Laughed my ass off from this "embarassment" because something fantasy looked alike.
P.P.S.: Stewards Fear is my fav quest to date, so I'm having extremely high hopes for this one.
anyone at with an ounce of sense would no the joke was about the guys knowing what a warcraft outfit looked like and not about the similarities itself. Must suck to always need things explained.
