You know you play too much x-wing when...

I think I found a new one... the wife at the weekend said "and I don't want to see those bloody stupid ships today" after my son and I had played 2 days in a row.

Then he decided to drop me in it saying I'd bought more ships, Told the wife she's welcome to check the case they're in to see but reminder her she said she didn't want to see them!

LOL yeah I figured that one, but knew I haven't currently got any ships she doesn't know about!

note I have said currently... lol

I had a girl text me" DTF?" and I was confused why she was texting me about Draw Their Fire.

It stands for something else?

When someone asks you on a text message it means "Down to F*@k?" So yeah...

I was recently in an argument with my wife when she used the words 'Push the Limit' and 'Stressed' in the same sentence and I giggled out loud, which of course got me smacked!

I often sit at the light on East Pittsburgh Street and think that it has a crappy dial based on the signs.

I have actually had dreams about X-Wing, included flying in formation and asteroid placement....

Is that bad?

Whoooosh!

When you see a squiggly arrow road sign and think "evade token." Or if you find yourself plotting maneuvers while skiing. Or driving. Or walking.

I saw a left turn sign for two turn lanes and thought to myself yeah that's still in formation

I played X-Wing a couple days ago at a friends house until like 1am. The next morning, well the same morning actually, my alarm went off and I woke up all groggy, rolled over to my wife and said, "Is that my ship. Is my ship ringing? Can you hand me my ship, please?" I paused for a second and then said, "Umm... I meant my phone." She was like, OMG!

I was trying to get my son up for school when he started talking about needing to move slowly to build up his energy... which is interesting since we don't even have any epic/huge ships yet (apparently I've been showing him too many preview articles to explain things I will someday buy).

When sheet2 on half of your work spreadsheets is always full of hit/crit/green dice tables.

It hasn't happened to me, but I get where you're coming from. I used to live in DC, enjoyed pointing out (to my wife) all the places I had killed monsters in Fallout 3.

Nearly took his head clean off...

I had a dream last night where I played X-Wing against Hillary Clinton. She played as Rebels and won, but only by bringing in the NCC-1701 E halfway through the game which felt rather like cheating.

I clearly need a vacation.

Brother, you need vacations.

Any sentence that contains "dream" and "Hillary Clinton" together in any context probably requires a vacation. In some ways, I find the X-Wing aspect to be more disturbing than the possible alternatives...

Getting stress at U-tune sign

Thinking "food or X-wing?" whilst staring at your bank balance...

When you see initials like PTL or DTF you think of X-wing.

Yep, done this one myself! :o

The other day I dreamt that I was playing at my first X-Wing event and Harrison Ford showed up and asked if anyone wanted to play against him. I ended up being his opponent and while I was setting up at the table with him I found myself thinking about how to beat his two Falcons… and then suddenly my alarm went off

When you are in a car following someone and you say "Stay on Target!"

I have quite a few:

-When you tell your friends you spent your evade token to avoid a potentially terrible relationship.

-When you feel like you spent a focus token to change your eyeballs to evades when driving on the 91 (terrible freeway, truly the armpit of freeways in SoCal).

-When you chuck something at a friend because he was in your firing arc.

-When you chuck something at a friend even though he was outside of your firing arc.

-When you use a B-Wing model as your rearview mirror ornament instead of the rosaries your grandma gave you.

-When you feel like you turn your hits to crits when you score a deal on something or find the perfect parking spot at school.

I play way too much X-Wing...

- You have X-Wing models on your desk at work

- You fly them around at lunch making "pew, pew, pew" sounds

- You consider getting a full Imperial Fighter Pilot costume and wearing it while you play, because "It'd be cool."

- You post on forum threads about "You know you play too much X-Wing when... "

You spend just as much time thinking about playing the game as you do actually playing the game.

Was actually discussing it with my x-wing group at dinner last night... getting the pilot costumes for our favorite ships and wearing them on game night / tournament
