Yep - the UK version calls Biggs Darklighter "Biggles" as a homage to a beloved character in books, Maj. James "Biggles" Bigglesworth. He was a WW1 adventurer and pilot that was Indiana Jones and Wedge Antilles all rolled into one. Curiously, the character was named after a real life WW1 of the same name who disappeared after being inducted into the RAF Special Air Police (presumably to have some real-life harrowing tales of adventure).

Everything about the card is the same as the US version save for the name.

Interesting concept.. but his name was Biggs.. not Biggles.. that's just odd..

I'm still not convinced that the Biggles card actually exists, but I really want one.

It does exist. Unfortunately those core sets sold out apparently - my two core sets (bought in liverpool) both say Biggs. I actually think it's stupid, technically it lets you field 2 biggs in one list.
