Man, why am I so bad with quoting???
LFG: Play by post
So, Gaunt...
Do I know who the captain is, or do I have no idea?
You could make an Intelligence test -10, desperately trying to remember him.
19!
By the way, it looks like the first online dice roller I linked here is no longer working, so I found this other one:

You memember this guy ! He looks very different than you had him in mind though ! You were on the avademy together.
Man, why am I so bad with quoting???
Cos' you got 'skills'
Hello again, friends!
Sorry for the disappearing act, I got called away on a business trip and didn't have much time for RPing.
Just came back from Amazonas.
So, Gaunt, do I remember what was this last case or may I make it up?
Its on your own to decide ;D
Gaunt,
I'm quite embarrassed right now.
I don't know how my work addled brain translated a colleague from the academy to an ex-partner.
I'm going to correct my post right now, but please keep that slaver case I mentioned as part of my background!
Gaunt, how frequently are you awarding XP and refreshing Fate Points? Since this is a play-by-post game we can't exactly do this at the end of each game session
I think I do that after a milestone is achieved.
If you feel though that a certain moment would be suited, I am also open for input.
Alright, sounds good to me.
Here's hoping that the desk attendant doesn't take a krak missile to the teeth. 95% of Magistratum officers killed in the line of duty die within the last couple weeks before retirement
EDIT: Also, do we gain bonuses to Dodge tests for being behind cover?
Edited by Covered in WeaselsAs a general question IS Cade going to be able to make it behind the desk? Or is it just too far away from him?
Curious if the PbP has any room? I would be a total Noobie - my only experience thus far being the Deathwatch RPG (of which I have both GMd and played in). I am a long time lore-***** for the 40k universe and would love to get involved.
Cade is able to get behind the desk.
Everyone who totally hides behind cover (and is completely covered), gets +20 on his evasions. This however only is granted, if since ones last turn did not do anything that revealed any part of oneself (like attacking, looking round the corner etc).
Otherwise I grant +10 to evasions while in cover.
Both of this is my interpretation from the betas dodge skill example table - if youvread that different, I am open to discuss it.
@pearldrum: we have a seperate thread in this forum where the game is playing. If you wanted to join now, it would have to be integrated into the story line though...
Interested to play an old magistratum officer who son would have achieved his retirement ? Or a magistratum captain ?
Rules would be dh2 beta2 though.
Ok, general question for how combat is to be run. Should we post in order of initiative, or just post our actions for our round, and let Gaunt sort it out?
I feel to be fair to the GM we should probably post in order of Initiative, and save him the headache of sorting out all our actions into initiative but that's just me.
Edited by ColAranaI think initiatives order would be best - if you manage to post in time.
Because otherwise it can get complicated, as actions might influence others...
So for initiative this combat it is
Cade = 11
Dral = 8
Ambushers & Asterius = 6
Dammek = 4
I suggest we finish this round and then go in that order.
Sounds like a plan. So who finishes the round before we start?
Looking through the posts so far I believe it is just Asterius to go, then a new round.
Asterius is at the same time like the guys - i already rolled the guys so your turn now.
Btw - we have another possible player to join (pearldrum) - if someone would support him creating a char (he does not have dh2beta), I could make for him to join you.
It should be a char though whose introduction in the current situation makes sense...
Captain Thrain ?
Would be a hive - arbites - warrior
The old guy (if he survives) ? Would be a hive - arbites - Sage
Another magistratum officer who not yet appeared ?
Open to other suggestions...
Edited by GauntZeroPLEASE SUPPORT ME!
Seriously though, if someone could hold my hand through character creation, I would be much obliged.
Do you have any idea what kind of character would be interesting for you ?
The following roles would not be used yet:
- warrior
- sage (adept)
- hierophant (priest)
- chirurgeon
I think a hierophant could indeed be an interesting option, if you like clerics.
But its up to you...
