Hi all,

I'm new and haven't played yet but I do have a couple of questions.

• With Azathoth what does placing the 1 Eldritch token on the green space of the Omen track accomplish/do?
• Again with Azathoth it's card says that there is a minus for cultist. I'm guessing that is whenever you encounter them?
• I know there aren't any Special Encounter cards for Azathoth but for the other ancient ones when would you use those?
• Isn't there a box or something like a monopoly tray for all these cards and tokens? Wow, that is really spread out.
• Is there an on-line list of the cards anywhere. I've seen them for other games and some companies (list Steve Jackson) puts them up themselves.
• During setup I placed a gate and monster. The monster said that when spawned move it to Egypt. Am I suppose to do that for setup too?

Finally just an observation, between the small cards, small text and low contrast FFG really isn't going after the over 40 crowd are they? I can definitely see some of the older crowd not being able to play without glasses, lots of light and/or a magnifying glass which is kind of the same as not being able to play. I've been in gaming bars and some clubs that meet at sports bars and/or restaurants and I don't think this game with all those loose pieces and nearly impossible to read in low light is well suited for those places.

Placing tokens on the green space of the Omen Track causes the Doom cont to go down faster when the Omen Marker lands on that space.

Yes. The cultist stats on the Ancient One's card are what are used when you encounter a cultist in combat. If it has a minus or a dash for a test, you don't have to make that test.

When the special encounter cards comes up varies. For Cthulu, the special cards are used to solve a mystery. For Yog-Sothoth, they are used to solve the final mystery if Yog-Sothoth awakens.

There is not currently a list of cards that I know.

Yes. Monsters spawned during set-up follow all their normal spawning procedures.

Yes, there's a box. No secret - it's called a "desktop business card holder", try searching your favourite online retailer of office supplies. They are very compact and a couple of 8 pocket racks will hold all the decks including having separate pockets for discard piles - well, I keep the Mythos and AO-specific decks on the table, not sure why. The "racks" are 20 x 9 cm. (I use three for Arkham Horror). I have a tackle box that I store all my tokens in so I can take the tackle box out of the game box, open the lid and I'm ready to go. Minimal set up time, minimal table space and everything is in reach. There are occasions when years of playing Arkham Horror can help with Eldritch Horror

oh, mccrispy, you do make me laugh with your English pragmatism. Not that kind of box, silly-head. I'm talking about something much more thematic. In all seriousness, Ken, if you're looking for a low-cost solution, mccrispy is spot-on that one can simply use an off-the-shelf solution to organize their cards. If they want to dress-up their gaming table, that's where we come into play.

Now that's funny, really! Last night my wife came home with just these. One 4 card holder and one 8 card holder and fits the needs quite well. All without her knowing of your post. I started laughing, of course she looked at me funny until I explained.

The good news, having spoken with EH play-testers and other players is that many of our pieces can be used with either EH or AH . As to the Neighborhood Display , Backers will have the opportunity to cast their vote on what they want to adorn it and have input into our revised Player's Plate .

For me, the perfect solution is the one that fits the requirements most closely. Typically for a gaming accessory this would usually include cost (I prefer to spend my budget on playable games) and ease of storage, and for EH/AH at-table storage it includes a significant reduction in footprint (I believe that the OP also had this as a requirement). So for me, the Civic is a perfect fit and a Porsche is an outrageous, impractical solution, despite what others might think of the aesthetic appeal. Others of course may have different requirements. Notice that they are different requirements, not inferior.
