Strange things

Clues represent information about the Mythos. Unlike Arkham Horror, you are now free to share them with your fellow investigators. However, if you you share them, you suddenly don't have it anymore; you just sort of forget. Derp.

The Tick-Tock Men are shadowy government style agents. They represent all governments and they represent no governments. They seek to keep the hidden hidden, and destroy information regarding the mysteries of the old one's. So where do these shadowy individuals show up? Washington isn't on the board. London perhaps? San Francisco? Nope - the middle of the Outback. Because when I think of shadowy government agents, of course I think the middle of the Australian Wilderness.

A King James Bible requires 2 successes on an Acquire Assets test to acquire. It costs more than a private plane flight. It costs more than hiring someone to steal the bible for you. It costs an equal amount as private hospital care, probably because they have a bible in the waiting room and thus 90% of their overhead.

For most characters, you will need to go into Debt to acquire a bible. Debt can result in you having sold your soul. For a bible.

Clairvoyance allows you to encounter clues on other spaces. But failed test results still apply. It's possible to wind up with Injuries from your psychic projection, and more weirdly it's possible to wind up arrested using Clairvoyance. What. Are they detaining my ghost? I may be starved or tortured when Detained. Are they starving my mind? Is it just lack of access to good literature making me lose Health? .

Nah, it's just that whatever that important thing you found was, it got handed off to the other person. Besides who really wants to be carrying around a brain in a jar, even if it does have important things to tell you?

They're like the MIB. Their jurisdiction is the world.

Maybe it's a super-secret edition with the personal notes of Saint George.

There's a peculiar symmetry to that. Besides, that bible may have belonged to the capo's mother.

Probably more likely that someone stumbled upon your investigators catatonic form while they were astrally projecting. They probably took them to the hospital (or asylum if they were muttering to themselves). Plenty of fiction deals in the idea that astral space isn't safe, and being away in it too long is deleterious to your health.

From my unfinished adaptation of "An Eldritch Horror visits Arkham"

The Outback (21)

Your contact in the Capital was hesitant to speak about those called "The Watches" From what you intimiated from him, they work for a number of different governments, but answer to some other authority. Now, from observing their secret base, you have learnt that they have harnessed aboriginal dreamtime to wipe the memories of their opponents. By reversing the polarity, you might be able to cause them to forget their original mission, but you would almost certainly be caught in the backlash! If you choose to do so, lose all your clue tokens, but restore your Sanity to full, having forgotten many unpleasant memories as well. If you decide against doing so, remove all clue tokens from the board.

Maybe they sold it to Jesus?
