CCG era cards

By Serazu, in CoC General Discussion

Good day to you. A question:

I came up recently with a variety of cards from the CCG era that are identical in their text with those of the LCG era. Are they legal in formal tournaments as long as I use opaque sleeves on them? I 'm asking because in other card games I play/ed, such as MtG, L5R etc. I was able to use my old cards, as long as the name and text was identical to the new one.

Thanks.

Yes, they're legal as long as the card text was not changed.

Yes, they're legal as long as the card text was not changed.

Thank you. Do you know if the flavor text is considered too? In the Hard Case's... case for instance the CCG version of the card has "he'd made" in the flavor text, while the LCG version has "he made" printed on the card. I know that in Thrones the flavor text is not taken into consideration concerning effects that affect texts, but what about here?

The flavor text isn't considered. It's not part of the card's text box and has no impact on play. Note that some of the reprinted cards were changed significantly, such as Anthropology Advisor.
