Iron discipline and Saphery Waystone

By gertat, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Can you play Iron discipline in responce to a card effect to avoid the effect if the aggressive player dont pay the extra 4 resources?

What happens to the resources for the card played by the aggressive player if the player dont want to play the extra 4 resources.

If you have Saphery Waystone in play and your opponent play a tactic and you counter it with for example High Elf's Disdain.

Does Saphery Waystone still get a resource.

We think so but just to be sure.

Someone might know better, but I'll take a stab and say:

1. Yes, provided the card effect you want to avoid is an "action," note this is the lower case action type not restricted to merely Actions .

2. Costs are payed at the time the player tries to play the action, so those costs are gone even if the player decides not to pay the four additional resources.

3. The effect on Saphery Waystone is a forced effect so it resolves even before you have the opportunity to play High Elf's Disdain, thus it gains a resource token.

Thanks
