Step Aside + Wall of Steel

By Delazar78, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

If I have both talents, does it mean I can have 3 reactions?

One to Dodge or Parry (everyone got this)

One to Dodge (from Step Aside)

One to Parry (from Wall of Steel)

right?

Essentually, but I will elaborate for completeness.

Your character has 1 normal reaction he can use to dodge or parry, as well as sacrifice for a turn to use talents like furious charge or Servo-arm attacks.

If your character has Step Aside, he gains 1 extra dodge which may ONLY be used to dodge. He CANNOT use Step Aside for any other purpose.

If your character has Wall of Steel, he gains 1 extra parry which may ONLY be used to parry. He CANNOT use Wall of Steel for any other purpose.

  • Your character CANNOT sacrifice the extra reactions from Step Aside or Wall of Steel to use talents like Furious Charge or Servo-Arm attacks.
  • But, your character can sacrifice his normal reaction and still use the extra dodge and parry from Step Aside and Wall of Steel.
  • If your character uses an ability or suffers a condition which prevents him from using reactions, dodges, and/or parries (such as All-out Attack) your character also looses his extra dodge and parry from Step Aside and Wall of Steel.
