Some Photos of stuff, you know Slave-1 & Interceptors.

Search through the 24 pages of this... there's a demo on how to do the rebel logo, and he gives instructions on how to do the imp at the same time. Actually, he might have even given a demo on the imp due to popular request.

This thread is insane and needs to be seen more.

What this man above me states.

Also, gotta give you props man, I'm seriously hankering to paint now. I wish to gain even a shadow of the skill you possess. Massive, massive props.

This thead is awesome.

Thanks for bumping this thread - incredible work!

Bump!

Hey, so not bad pictures seeing as all I have is a Galaxy 2 for a camera and my painting light for lighting.

Had a nightmare with varnishes, the first time I went on it dulled the whole thing down and gave a grey tint, I tried reabsorbing with another coat, but that just made it worse and I had to strip them and go again.

Second time similar happened, but I have found the fix. paint over the model with a thin coat of Olive Oil and leave to dry. Brought back the vibrant yellow and even fixed the metallics which are normally completely destroyed by a bad varnish... Misting varnish has been the bane of my life so to finally have a solution.

So here are my Scyks.

and my Mist Hunter and Kihraxzm, which are currently a work in progress but are coming on nicely.

Wait wait wait... Forget those ships. Tell me more about the olive oil. So the varnish misted, and you did WHAT?

Just got some Olive Oil on a brush, painted it over the model, left it to dry.. then put it under a tap to remove the excess... And they are perfect again.

Finally got it together and working correctly.. Green stuffed so it's not gappy and remains aligned all the way through 360. It's going to be repainted so the paint damage doesn't matter. The next 2 should be easier.

Anyone done a tutorial on the Star Viper and how to do the wings

Oh and because someone asked about the connection on Facebook. I took it out below the engines, so I could paint the quad.

That looks freaking epic!

Where have you been, Rodent?

I thought we have lost you.

Awesome work, like usual!

He was only gone for a year'ish...

3 Converted, those were a blooming nightmare. I would go to put on a wing and the glue would get into the mechanism and the whole thing would lock up, meaning I'd have to pull it apart clean all the parts and try again.

Would these become tournament legal again if the wings are set to original positions?

As one of the wings had broken of my Star Viper I decided to fix it... I may have accidentally at the same time put the guns on magnetic swivels and pinned the wings so they could fold. I made a mistake on the first try and put the pin in too far into the wing joist, when I did the bottom wing pair I put it right on the back edge and it folded perfectly so I had to refill the holes with green stuff and re-drill the top wings.

You may notice that the site that hosted the first 23 pages of pictures no longer exists, so all the images are broken.

Well that sucks... nah I did not notice it Brah. I already saved all of the images of your stuff that I liked back in the day when you originally posted new works.

You should post your new joints up in the customs section too now.

:)

I would be mad to try wouldn't I... Those Nacelles look so different.. and I would have to saw into the front to put in those intakes.

Doo itt! I have 0 intentions of modding the exterior to match it, but I am planning on lighting mine up purple and then painting it to match this scheme. But I'm sure you can just add a bit of plasticard here and a dab of green stuff there and viola! The Banshee comes to life!
