Hey Investigators,

A small but determined group of Cthulhu hunters turned out last night for week 1 of the 5th Cthulhu league, and some daring, handsome individual called Kieren used his Miskatonic Cops to shoot first, investigate things later to sweep the night and take the early league lead. Brother Jason and his nasty purple people eaters finished second, and National Champ Kenny Goober tried out a new Silver Twilight deck to finish third. Standings below

Kieren 3

Jason 2

Kenny 1

Daniel 0

Cthulhu is awesome. We play each Wednesday night at 6.30pm. If you'd like to have a crack cruise in on a Wednesday and a friendly Call of Cthulhu player will not only show you how its done, but will lend you a deck to use on the night!

See you next Wednesday!

Hey Investigators,

Last night a dedicated group of supernatural investigators fronted up to Burwood to try to figure out what was happening, and how they can capitalise on it. After 4 brutal rounds, Brother Jason and his Mi Gos stood tall at 4-0. But a new sherriff was spotted riding into town and Joshua Holderness and his Hastur cult finished a gallant 2nd, with Daniel Waller and his crazy Mi Gos finishing third. Standings below

Jason 2 4 6

Kieren 3 1 4

Josh 3 3

Daniel 0 2 2

Kenny 1 1

Nathan 1 1

Eliza 1 1

Players drop their worst weeks score, league goes for another 4 weeks.

Call of CThulhu is awesome-my favourite game currently (and has been for a few months). It has play and deck building depth, and is just so much fun(and I came last last night!). If you'd like to try it, cruise in on a Wednesday and a friendly Cthulhu player will not only show you how its done, but lend you a deck to use for the night! Plus don't forget the learn to play night on Halloween, where you get to learn how to play AND get FREE PIZZA!

See you all next Wednesday. Cthulhu makes hump day something to look forward too!

Hey Investigators,

Last night week 3 of the Call of Cthulhu league was held, and Nationals Champ Kenny made a triumphant return, piloting his Order of the Silver Twilight dues to a 4-0 sweep. Michael Garratt, known by some as a megajerk for beating my saucy girlfriend in round 1, finished runner up with Eliza and her Mi Go's hitting their stride to finish a solid third. Details below

Jason 2 4 1 7

Kieren 3 1 1 5

Kenny 1 4 5

Josh 3 3

Daniel 0 2 1 3

Eliza 1 2 3

Michael 3 3

Nathan 1 1

So after 3 rounds its still pretty cramped at the top, and even someone starting at no points would have a chance to win outright! Don't forget players drop their worst weeks score.

We play Call of Cthulhu each Wednesday night at 6.30pm, and its fantastic! Entry is just $7, the money is split between nightly and overall prize pools, and a cool bunch of people play this awesome game. If you'd like to try, drop in on a Wednesday evening and a friendly Cthulhu player will show you how its done and lend you a deck. Also, don't forget the learn to play Cthulhu night Oct 31st with FREE PIZZA!

See you next Wednesday night!

Hey Investigators!

Week 4 of the Call of Cthulhu league was held at Burwood last night and after 4 rounds of fun filled, action packed rounds the IMPOSTER Kym Mington duped us all with her "I haven't played for ages" line to go 3-1 and win the night. Some handsome devil finished second and the Saucy Eliza, the ever distracting presence behind the counter, finished third. Standings below

Jason 2 4 1 1.5 8.5

Kieren 3 1 1 3 8

Kenny 1 4 2 7

Eliza 1 2 2.5 5.5

Josh 3 3

Daniel 0 2 1 0 3

Michael 3 3

Kym 3 3

Nathan 1 1

Players drop their worst weeks score. With 2 rounds to go its a wide open affair, with Brother Jason holding on doggeredly to the lead. No one is really out of it, but that doesn't really matter, its just a fun night of playing an awesome LCG that makes this game so terrific.

If you'd like to have a try, cruise in on a Wednesday night and not only will a friendly CThulhu player show you how its done, they will lend you as deck to use for the night as well (Kym borrowed Brother Jasons deck last night and SMASHED us!). Its a great game, cruise in and try. And keep Halloween (Oct 31) free, its a learn to play with free pizza night!

Cheers

This league is the closest I have ever seen ANY LCG league! .5 of a point separate the top 3! Next week is the final week of this league, so we'll give out prizes (and the overall lucky door prize!) then. And because its lucky door, anyone can win!

We play Call of Cthulhu every Wednesday, and its great. If you'd like to try, cruise on in on a Wednesday night and a fine Investigator will not only show you how its done, they'll lend you a deck for the night to try!

See ya next Wednesday!

Hey Investigators (or drivers of other people crazy)

Last night was the final week of league 5 this year at Burwood, and it was a fitting finale! 3 people within a point of each other bashed it out, with Kieren beating his 2 main league rivals in the first 2 rounds, then getting bashed by party spoiler Nathan Ms Order of the Silver Twilight dudes to fall at the final hurdle! All that after I went 4-0 with his deck in the AGOT deckbuilders league to enable him to ****** an unlikely league victory! SOme people have no gratitude... :)

So on the night Kenny, Nathan M and Kieren all finished 3-1, with Daniel and National A Game of Throne champ Colin (who had to leave early) up next. It was a great night playing an awesome game. Thanks to all who played!

SO we'll do the lucky door prize draw (a deluxe FFG expansion of the winners choice!) at the start of next league, which will be October 16th. Final standings below

Kenny 1 4 2 3 3 13 0 13

Kieren 3 1 1 3 2 3 13 1 12

Jason 2 4 1 1.5 2 1 11.5 1 10.5

Eliza 1 2 2.5 1 1 7.5 0 7.5

Daniel 0 2 1 0 1 2 6 0 6

Josh 3 3 0 3

Michael 3 3 0 3

Kym 3 3 0 3

Nathan M 3 3 0 3

Colin 2 2 0 2

Nathan W 1 1 0 1

Don't forget players drop their worst weeks score. Kenny becomes our league 5 champ and wins $40 store credit. Well done Kenny! Kieren, the people champion, finishes second and wins $25 store credit, with Brother Jason, stalwart of the community and all things nice, finished third and wins $15 store credit. Well done everyone!

We have a weeks break next Wednesday, but after that, Wednesday 16th is the start of the next league! WOOOHOOOOO! Call of Cthulhu is an awesome game, if you'd like to play cruise on in on a Wednesday and not only will we show you how its done, we'll lend you a deck to use on the night. And the celebration of all things CThulhu, and BIG learn to play night, is on Halloween-October 31st, we're we are showing people how to play, plus shouting people FREE PIZZA if you take a Call of Cthulhu demo!
