Hi Mehesaa are you running your data folder from a shared location, as i had this issue, I had to refresh the data files as something had corrupted I don't know what it was. But as my data path was to my local onedrive folder on my laptop i copied the data file on the cloud into a new folder and then pointed the program to that, it then repulled in the data and characters and my printing started working again, but before that it was hanging at page 2 print with all my older larger characters

For me it helped, to UNcheck the option " Use characteristics and skills from translations " right below the language-selection-field. –You have to restart the whole program (incl. launcher) for this to take effect.

The effect is only maginal since the descriptions only show up in the generator and not on the printed sheets. But if seeking for perfection... 😎

backed up my custom data, removed my old version, removed all my appdata locations, downloaded both the stand alone and the web install versions, but having an idiot night, downloaded the data file from the G...Lb location, left it in a zip file, but it has said the zip archive doesn't contain a valid data set. was using version 2.3.0.0, but had gotten the 2.3.3.0 version. Have the data files moved again?

Forget the zip-file and the import-button... Do it manually!

Everything goes somewhere in the DataCustom-Direction.

ah back to that then huh? No worries, i know where the data hides, was hoping to use the automated process. At least the import of my custom data still works, all 400+ items and tweaks... I'll just recompile and reprocess the XML code and throw it all together finally.

Wanting to run this on a Mac but I'm trying to avoid a VM, unfortunately im also a total newb. I've seen mention of using Mono to install the framework then running this through it, has anyone had success, any tips?

The descriptions worked for a while. When Age of Rebellion added in Knowledge (Warfare), OCD me expanded on the descriptions a friend had typed in for all the other skills. After that, the descriptions stopped working for all but 8 of the skills.

Someone suggested exporting or backing up the dataset, deleting and reinstalling the program, then re-importing the data set. I am paranoid to do such things as one of my users (possibly me), keeps wiping out swaths of data that we have input over the years.

I copied and pasted everything that I had typed up to a word file (which also allowed me to spell check it). Then, I manually deleted everything from the skill descriptions in all my data files (default and custom data).

So, summary of issue is that descriptions for the Skills that are put in the Default folder do not show up for some reason. If you leave the default folder unchanged and put it in a custom folder they will show up.

Still encountering the problem of random custom ships vanishing. The xml file is there in the DataCustom/Vehicles folder, but they don't show up in the Data Editor or the Character Generator.

@nytwyng i had a similar issue that was related to having too many character files when I reduced them down to only active characters this went away. I think it has to go with the cache file getting to large

There is not. They’re images that are sized and scaled to fill otherwise blank space as determined by the degree of content that must be printed, as opposed to being actual data fields.

Dawn of Rebellion hasn't yet been loaded into program's base files. Last update shows that the last book to be loaded was Cyphers & Masks, and Knights of Fate and Unlimited Power before that.

I'd imagine it's next in the queue of books, or at least is something that @OggDude has slated for a future release.

Yes. And we have the capability to enter most stuff using the data editor. The only thing we cant do is the set up the prerequisites for the knight, General, and master spec. I entered them. And the Padawan Survivor.

I am trying to enter the data from Collapse of the Republic into Oggdude's 2.3.3. I haven't done much of this previously so my knowledge of the the data editor is limited. On Page 60 of CoR, the Mandalorian Chamber weapon attachment indicates a mod option that increases range band by 1. I can find an option that reduces range band but not increases it. Am I just not seeing it or this mod option not currently available.

I did, the ones already in oggdudes reduce difficulty at long/extreme range or remove environmental setback. I dont see anything that says, to the effect, "increase range by 1"

New problem. I finally found an option that seemed to add a range band as an item attachment option. To test it, I duplicated the attachment, made some changes to the custom attachment and saved. It didn't seem to be loading properly into the chargen so I completely restarted Oggdudes. Now Oggdude's no longer shows my custom data. The files are there but none of my custom data options (there were two) are showing up SELECT DATA SET .

Any suggestions on how to get Oggdudes to see my custom data again or is there a log that shows where an error might be generating that causing the custom data load to fail?
