No worries about Ogg getting in trouble from donations. Copyright and Trademark laws only restrict selling the product for profit. Donations are voluntary gifts to support any number of things - server bandwidth to keep the program available, time and effort to update the program, appreciation for the work - none of these things are profits derivative of the Star Wars property, merely gifts to the individual exclusive of what the actual item is. As it is voluntary, OggDude isn't charging for the product, and therefor isn't receiving profit for the product. As such, he isn't breaching Copyright or Trademark laws. If he required it, then yea, he's in the firing reticle, but as a free service with a donation support for server use and support, he's in the clear.

Ok, I created a folder. But I can't run the character generator. The application never opens, though the GM Tools, Data Editor and the overall Launcher all work fine.

I don't get any errors or anything.

Has anyone had any success manually creating the Mandalorian species in the Data Editor?

I'm trying to figure out the options for either 1 Combat Skill or 2 Knowledge skills and I'm stumped. I can get the combat skill entered in easily enough, I just can't seem to get the "or two knowledge skills" part to show up properly at species selection. I can make it a single selection but I can't seem to turn it into a multiple in a specific category (knowledge). My only choices are career/non-career.

I'm beginning to suspect that the backcode might need to be tweaked by Oggy as I don't think we have a situation yet where a species gets to pick 2 skills from a specific list

So I see the version from last July in the signature line from Oggdude. There still isn't a new version out of Beta yet? Or am I missing it?

Nope, the latest release version is from July. There is also a beta version of the next release, but it is still in beta.

Considering we're fast closing in on two months since OggDude last logged in, while it's tough, we've just got to be patient.

You need to run it as admin and change the compatibility to run it in Windows 7 mode. This is a known problem.

What I did was a Sub species for now One labeled combat (That gave the choice of combat skills) The other knowledge, that gave two groups of knowledge (selectable for each skill up to two.) and then released it to my groups as a trust thing for selecting different skills)

Thanks Cev. That actually works brilliantly.

After some experimentation with lightsaber crafting, I am finding a single Item Attachment with Mods to represent the craft changes to be a little clunky. I know this adds a lot to the Item Attachment lists, but I have experimented with making each permanent option a unique Item Attachment. I gave them names of "Craft - xxx" and labeled the IDs MYLSCRAFT#. This makes it clear that Two-Handed automatically comes with +2 encumbrance and +1 damage, for instance plus the name Two-Handed is clear to mark it as a two-handed weapon. For Counterweight and Delicate Balance I gave them base mods to remove the appropriate quality, then 6 optional adds of the new quality so there is still some manual thought required. My next step is to slim down the descriptions to only show features I cannot represent in the system, and then follow up with the other weapon and item craft mods.

Been using the GM tool for the longest now, I absolutely love the the Editor but recently I've been encountering alot of Errors where when I try to Select certain Talents it Crashes, Or when I try to create or import characters from the import folder, it crashes, or when i try to create a Minion, Rival, or Adversary. Its really troubling and I'm hoping theres something I can do to fix this. any suggestions?

Does anyone have any insight in how to implement the Endless Vigil lightsaber hilt customization?

I was wondering if anybody has done Endless Vigil. If not then I guess I can refresh myself, and try to tackle it myself. I have noticed that OD has not been on in awhile.

I read about some of you changing data. Is there a way to replace the "check page XX in the rulebook" with the real rule text ?

Does anyone have any insight in how to implement the Endless Vigil lightsaber hilt customization?

I tried to implement it using the CraftTemplates and CraftImprovements XML files from 1.8.0 beta but when I tried to add Lightsaber as a type using the template key ctSABER (Armor is ctArmor) It just kept crashing when I hit the Craft Button. I was able to add one as a template to the Melee weapons but the Improvements for Lightsabers and Melee weapons are different. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I would love to hear from anyone else who has tried. I am running a Force and Destiny Campaign and would really appreciate having it.

As would the Racer tree for my Chiss Gunslinger if anyone has the data packet.

Has anyone managed to get a message to Ogg as its really strange that he hadn't been on the forum since the end of October? Does anyone know if he is ok?
