So it appears the character creators mucks up attachments and mucks up using the old version...sigh

Oggy noted when posting the beta that it uses a new cache format, and to go back to the previous version, you'll need to delete the new cache file.

You ran into a known issue with ClickOnce installs. This happens occasionally, but not to everyone. Sometimes, a new deployment will fix it. Unfortunately, I have no control over how ClickOnce works, so I can't fix it . You may have better luck when 1.8 is released.

In the mean time, you can use the manual install and just copy the contents of the ZIP file into a directory and run it from there.

I have had this problem for months now. And I'm running 8.1

I think Oggdude meant 1.8 of his Creator.

For now your best option if you haven't done it already is likely doing a manual install and excluding the directory/folder you put it in from all Anti-Virus programs.

Can anyone explain the droid crafting to me. I crafted the frame and the programing, but is there a way to tie them together into a single item? I recall getting a prompt that asked if I wanted it added as gear but when I said yes nothing seemed to have happened. Anyone have better luck then me?

UPDATE - Nevermind, I was able to answer my own question. The trick to crafting a droid is to not leave the crafting menu after making the chassis. Make the body, then hit the previous button until you get to the first screen and select the directive from the dropdown. Craft the directive, which will be auto applied to the chassis you just made and only after you are done with both hit finished. Not sure if that is the only way to do it, but it works.

Clear your cache, Update .NET to the most current one. Run as Windows 7. Backup data, uninstall, reinstall. So far, all the errors me and my friends have gotten have been resolved by one of those four. If those aren't working for you, I'd suggest posting your error logs.

If anybody know a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Clear your cache, Update .NET to the most current one. Run as Windows 7. Backup data, uninstall, reinstall. So far, all the errors me and my friends have gotten have been resolved by one of those four. If those aren't working for you, I'd suggest posting your error logs.

Thanks for the assist. Was as simple as changing the compatibility to Windows 7.

I am also having this issue. Not that it bugs me much. Also i updated to 4.5.2 .Net framework. The version 1.8.0.0 keeps crashing in the generator only. It works for an hour or so. then gets an error box. Ill see if i can post the box next time it pops up.

(Edit) its not letting me link the image. but it only seems to happen when there is a "pick one" option like for tinkerer and smooth talker. Its an "unhandled exception"

Spreadbarrel - the Devs have stated that when a player adds it to a weapon that already has the Blast quality that the attachment adds 2 Blast instead of 4.

Was this on a podcast? Can't seem to locate this rule. Also, is it only +2 due to the +1 mods of the attachment, or +2 from the attachment and two +1 mods?

Motivations, Cause. There are two "Overthrow the Empire" entries, one from Edge of the Empire, and another from Force and Destiny.

Not sure if this is a new issue or not, but posting here for a sanity check.

I remember the "Campaign" selection used to be sticky. When you selected a Campaign on the list of characters, it would remain selected when you went to another area on the creator and back. This seems to no longer be the case. Minor issue to be sure, but when running multiple campaigns that feature was handy to narrow down the character's involved.

The upgraded rule from the Devs states that if the weapon already has Blast that it is taken to the attachment only giving a base is +2 Blast, with 2 +1 Blast mods.

This was in a Pod cast, cant remember from the top of my head which one it is from.

The spread barrel attachment would do nothing; the two blast qualities do not stack because the spread barrel attachment does not “add” to an existing quality.

This has already been done by someone else.

The problem is that OggDude can’t ship that version of the file with his program, because it would then be too close to copyright infringement, and he would likely be shut down by FFG and/or Disney.

So, if you wanted to do that for yourself, that’s great!

However, if you want to share that with other people, you should be careful how you do that — not only because of the danger that represents to you personally, but also the danger it represents to the entire community, if FFG or Disney were to decide that they have to shut down his entire program because of your modified version of that file.

@OggDude: Just a heads up, but I've found an editing error: Sleight of Mind's default setting is as an incidental in the editor, even though it's passive. Easy enough fix for any user, but I thought it would be good to let you know.

That is strange. Was that an official reply from the Dev request paperwork?
