Hi again,

I can't start the chargen on my tablet anymore.

I get a error message in the event log, that the clr.dll crashes.
I deleted all files and tried out the web install and the local version. I did not help

I get an Exception when selecting "Repeating Ion Cannon" in the "Add or Upgrade Weapon" screen for Vehicles.

Does the repeating ion cannon have more than linked 3? I'm pretty sure that the weapon upgrades only support up to linked 3, eg 4 weapons. It's the same error I get trying to use the belbu-whatchit with it's linked 5 light lasers.

I am trying to add the Ichor Blade talent from Collapse of the Republic. I want to add the Jury Rigged effect to the talent, but it only seems to apply if i set the talent to ranked. Ichor Blade is not a ranked talent. Is there a work around for this?

I am not sure there is a work around for the talent. So I think you may have to wait till Oggy gets to those particular books to add them to the generator.

OggDude, sorry if this has been covered.

I am adding the text into the talent and force power trwws. For the coding for the different dice and pips, [FORCE] is the Force Die. What is the code name for generated light or dark force? Force and destiny uses a half dark half light symbol. What is the code text for that symbol?

Clicking on Help in the Data Editor opens a pane on the right that lists all of the codes.

The Protective Amulet (an alchemical talisman from Unlimited Power) should also be able to protect its user from vacuum, according to its entry in UP. This is not reflected in the item's standard description.

Also, "gravity" is misspelled in the item's description.

Armour-related question/issue ...

Armored Robes (FaD p. 179) are described as providing "similar protection to heavy battle armor". The illustration looks like full-body armour - the only thing missing is a helmet, and theoretically that could be included too. (The "robes" part seems to be more like an afterthough/cosmetic addition.)

Biofeedback System armour attachment (FaD p. 200) "can be installed on any full-body armor suit".

So why can't the Biofeedback System armour attachment be added to Armored Robes in the program? Have some errata/rules clarification nixed that possibility?

That may be something that went wrong in the code and oggy hasn't fixed it or didn't sound right too work with the armored robes. I would think the helm for armored robes would be part of the hood. I haven't been able to find any clarification because I figure it is more of a gm ruling on the Iron body talent from Martial artist and Steel hand adept. The main text says unarmed attacks get the reduction but would that count towards weapons like shock gloves which are just worn over the fists or shock boots for the same reason.

Except that the written description also says that they provide "similar protection to heavy battle armor", and heavy battle armour is definitely full-body.

Confusing matters even further, the RotSep CW book has Jedi Commander Armor (with stats similar to Armored Robes), which states that the "silhouette and exact systems ... vary based on the Jedi", that "there is no standard issue Jedi armor", and that "Republic armorers working with the Jedi Temple have modified clone trooper suits", but then a bit later in the same description it's back to "plates of armor are fitted over a loose robe". (The last bit is an insane way to make armour, regardless of cool it might look.)

The thing is, from what we see in the movies, armour heavier than what Boba Fett and Stormtroopers wear (decidedly low tech bodysuit with armour plates stuck to it) doesn't really seem to be a thing in Star Wars. Armoured Robes to me is what Obi-Wan is wearing on the cover of Rise Of The Separatists.

Things like that image for the Armoured Robes in the F&D Core don't really seem to exist in the Star Wars universe. It looks like something from Infinity or Eclipse Phase or another much more tech-focused sci-fi world. If you'd see it in a Star Wars movie, it'd look just look wrong and out of place.

It's most likely a case of either the armored robes not being assigned the Full Body tag for whatever reason (probably an oversight on OggDude's part).

Edit: Looked at the files through the Data Editor, and OggDude has the Armored Robes listed as Half Body. I'd agree with Bellona that they should be tagged as Full Body instead, and that's easy enough of an update to make using the Data Editor.

A dev who appeared on the order 66 podcast, I think the no disintegrations episode, said no.

Possible bug. I bought an H-7 Equalizer on my character and after purchasing it the damage jumped to 8. I'm assuming that it's applying the superior damage boost when that should already be taken into account with the listed damage of 7.

It's not just the H-7 Equalizer, it's any weapon that has the Superior quality built into it. Doesn't appear to be affecting armors that have the Superior quality, at least the last that I checked (which was before the most recent update). Simplest solution is to update those weapon's profiles in the Data Editor to reduce their damage by 1 to offset Superior's effects.

Erm correct me if am wrong but Jury rigged the way it is set up in the character generator doesn't let you select a weapon you have equipped and choose what upgrade to give and from what I remember never has. But the way I and my mate who GM's has got round this is, to create a copy of the weapon and edit it applying the Jury rigged effect that I or another player has chosen. You could do this and also add the Ichor blade. But remember Ichor blade can't be applied to anything with electronics or high tech, so the Jury rigged part must still comply with this in the spirit of the game.

If you use a shared drive or cloud drive to store your data I have found this to happen. the local copy had corrupted or not updated properly on my computer from onedrive.

But when I moved the data to a new folder in the cloud. deleted the local data on my computer and then repointed the program to the moved data it worked again. I tried clearing cache multiple times but that didn't sort it.. It could of been just one bad file causing it on my hdd.

Various ways...

You make one of the F&D careers and say the character is a Findsman.

You make a Bounty Hunter/Something/Force-sensitiveEmergent and say the character is a Findsman.

You have your existing character put some XP in appropriate skills and stuff and say the character has adopted the Findsman traditions.

You sit down, work out what a Findsman is supposed to be able to do, and create a custom generic Findsman specialisation with custom talents and enter it into the character generator.
