About the culture info bug... try deleting the settings file found in Users/<login name>/AppData/Roaming/SWCharGen. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I believe the locale ID is being set to a value that is not a valid culture in Windows. I fixed the potential for this bug in a couple of places, so this should not happen again in the next release.
And for those curious, here's what I've changed so far:
- The Thisspiasian, Vurk, and Tholothian species had a misspelling for their source. This has been fixed.
- In GM Grants, specializations could not be checked. This has been fixed.
- When the Tinkerer talent was unselected, items with extra HP's would have all of their attachments removed. This was by design, but not always needed. It will now only remove attachments if the new total HP is less than used HP. And even then, it will remove attachments one at a time until under the proper total, rather than remove everything.
- The equipment pane and new vehicle dialog in the character generator, and the equipment pane in the add companion dialog, didn't use the source selection from the Options dialog. They will now respect source selection. Note this will work only in the character generator, not in the GM Tools.
- Fixed a potential bug in the translate class where a bad locale ID specified when loading the translation object could cause an exception.

Hi.
I have tried to add to add three skill trees (specialization) as GM grants to my thief. The seer and two more. They are temporary grants as my character is under the control of a with lord. I cannot get the GM grants to add those.
I click but but it doesn’t let me check the specialization. Am I missing something?

Thanks for fixing that glitch with the heavy hydrospanner and engineering hammer that was preventing both from showing up on the first page it really helps with my character tommarow who owns both tools.

What are you trying to apply a -1 strain threshold modifier to? You'll need to supply more info than that. Are you wanting an attachment to a piece of equipment to apply the modifier, or a vehicle upgrade for example?

I made a custom cybernetic implant that I want to have the minus 1 strain on as a mod.
Hello OggDude, just encountered a weird bug.
When I add the talent "well rounded" via GM grants to a character and then save that character, reload it, and try to print it's sheet, the printing window stops generating pages when reachin page 2 and doesn't show any pages.
When ungranting "well rounded", saving the char, then reloading it and trying to print, it works again.
I get no error message in the printing window. it just doesn't load anything after page 2 and doesn't show any pages at all.
Oh, wait. I can generate an error message when I try to print after it didn't show any pages. maybe that can help you:

When I then choose to continue "at my own risk", Chrome tells me "setup.exe is dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it."
... Is there a problem with the Bitly install version, or should I use another web browser instead?

I just installed using Firefox, this evening, with no error messages, and program seems to run fine (except for the data install problem).
I'm having the same problem with FLHTCU in regards to the Data Editor error message.
Amazing tool, absolutely love it. I just discovered FFG SW and I can't imagine making characters without it. My characters discovered that not all of the books are in it, such as Knights of Fate, with the associated specializations, races, force powers, etc. I found your github with all of the .xmls but haven't the foggiest how to "plug them in" to my existing installation. I tried just dropping the .xmls into either the custom data or app folders, that didn't do well for me :)
Are we just waiting for a new release? Is 2.3.1.0 the latest or am I behind? I've flipped through the 400+ pages here but not found anything I can use.

I went through my data editor, and though you can add, I've found you cannot apply a -1 modifier modification to equipment for strain. The editor also doesn't seem to recognize negative values either. I've tried about as many ways as i can think. Perhaps it could be applied on a character via the show wounds option? Can't recall the exact title for that and I'm on my tablet.

I'm also having the "This ZIP archive does not contain a valid Data Set". I even unzipped it, renamed the top folder to "Dataset_(CustomNew)" as per a post in this thread, no go so far. Still digging through this epic thread for other suggestions

2.3.1.0 is the latest version of the ACG.
I mentioned to MacAllen about cleansing his user data files to allow for a soft reset of the app and to download the local install version rather than the download version. I find my players and i have a better experience with that version. If i was more script savvy I'd write an application to clear out all the remnant data that an uninstall doesn't remove, but I'm a hardware, O/s and network security person. Programming isn't my forte.
