by setting it to 5, you put the mandatory obligation to 5. This then limits you to only getting credit for another 5 obligation. Per the EotE CRB, the mandatory obligation for a 5 PC group is 10.

This means you are required to take 10 points worth and do not get credit for them. You can take up to another 10 for the option points.

EDIT: Upon rereading your previous post, I may have his understood that instead of having 5 players, you have enough to make your mandatory obligation 5. You can only ever take double your group size's mandatory obligation and get points for them. You can take more but, will not get the points.

So in your case, if your party base obligation is 5 per player, then you can spend another 5 to get points and can choose either of the 5 point options. If the GM is letting you take more to get a 10 point option, then you need to go to the top sheet of the character and 'gift' yourself the rest of the 10 point option directly into cash or XP.

In either case the generator is working as designed

Theres actually an option, either in GM grants or right on the obligation pane, that lets you ignore that rule. You can take as much obligation as you want, or as the gm allows, and spend it was you see fit.

You are unable to view or purchase Force Powers with a Force Rating higher than your current Force Rating. I believe that Force Protection has a Force Rating requirement of 2+.

A few of us encountered this and reported it to Oggy. He's looking at how to correct it for the release version of 1.8. In the meantime, go into the program folder, right-click on the four programs (including the launcher), choose "properties," and set them to Win7 compatibility mode.

Just a quick report on something that appears to be incorrectly applied on an item. The Talisman of the Iron Fist is supposed to give pierce X where X is the same as FR. This means iit shouldn't stack with existing Pierce. When coupled with a vibroknuckler it appears to give x+1 ie stacking with existing pierce.

The Web installer/version seems to be the one with the issue. My antivirus also blocked and deleted some of its files. Turned off firewall and antivirus but could not download it again, with an error message asking to contact vendor. Switching to the manual install worked. Luckily the saved files were backed-up.

Putting an exception in my Antivirus software for ogg dudes program was necessary for me but after that I didn't have any problem with the Web installer

I don't have Mask of the Pirate Queen, but I've found several forum posts that mentions it gives +2 handling, not +1.

So, only description is wrong.

(Hello, i don´t know if this is known bug, but when you take an vehicle, with a handling of -1, and add the engine ring stabilizers which give +1 to handling, it changes the handling of the vehicle to +1 instead of 0. If you remove it, it returns to -1.

Tested it with the YT 1300 and the 4r3 Light Assault Transport.

When tested with the Assault Gunboat (-2 Handling), it goes up to 0 Handling. VCX-100 (-3) becomes -1 Handling.)

Uninstall/Delete all versions. (Make sure to back up your data folder first)

Delete all folders associated with the program. C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\SWCharGen and C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\SWCharGenLauncher

Delete the cache folder :C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\SWCharGen\ Cache

Reboot the computer.
