Another Character Generator
I don't know if others have had this problem but I'm using the GM tools to try and make an NPC and whenever I try to hit plus or minus for any of the characteristics or other stats it instantly just starts going down until it hits -568 and then the program crashes. Nothing I've tried fixes this.

I had this try to happen once. It started, I clicked the + button a few times and it started going the other way.
I shut down the program completely. I restarted the launcher. I launched the GM Tools and loaded up the character, and everything was fine. I've had no issues since.
Hope that helps.

Next time try clicking the opposite direction until it starts going that way. Then if it doesn't stop go back the other way. Sometimes it takes a couple minutes, but I've never had it go past +/-30 and eventually it stops.
Will the FnD core substitute the Beta soon? Noticed that the Heal basic Force Power cost 20 instead of 15 like in the Core book, so I guess that is from the Beta.
I understand that these things take time and that you are doing it for free(although I donated 10$), so thank you and don`t stress! Love the generator!

Hes working on it. Per his last update he is working on the adversaries and has done talents and equipment...probably a few more days.
I think I'm done with the coding. I just added the Inquisitor creation dialog to the adversaries pane, so you can create Inquisitors like in the CRB. Next, I'm going to do new adversaries, and add Imports for the two new adventures.
Then, I should be done. Lots and lots of changes in this version, so expect some bugs
Oggy, add an easter egg or a secret button option anywere please! XD
Edited by Josep MariaSpeaking of Easter eggs. I still could never figure out how to order pizza.
I don't think anyone has. So, here's a hint: generic items...

Nice. If I didn't already have a pizza I was munching on, I would have gone through with the order.
BTW: I thought I would share the idea. Though to many I expect "Hello Captain Obvious"!!
I put my install folder in OneDrive (you could probably use Dropbox or Hightail etc) and can thus run with the data my program from any PC I would normally use. You could also share the folder with your players and provide you trust them give them write access and therefore allow them to make the changes to their characters.
I order ppizza all the time... it only does anchovies for some reason....

Yeah... That has been a feature for a while.....I think it was discussed about 150 pages ago...so I think you can be forgiven for not knowing....
As we only play infrequently, I would really like to include a short explanation of the dice symbols, a key if you will, on the first page right were the skills are, similar to those on the pre-generated characters. Unfortunately, I cannot change the "Notes" section within the Character Generator itself.
Is it possible to add that as a feature? I would also be happy with simply adding a small section between the "Skills" and "Notes" with a key to the symbols (maybe add a checkbox "do you want to include a key to the symbols" or something like that on the Skills page of the Character Generator).

Check out the resources sticky. There are simple reference sheets that can be printed.
OggDude will the new version display the character's total force rating and also display the different lightsaber styles in combat skills if the talent has been taken?

Thank you. I actually printed a couple, but they add to the amount of paper on the table.
I use the ""Story" part of the character sheet to display a short explanation for now. Not optimal, since it is not on the same page as the skills, but thankfully the text can be formatted and contain the correct symbols. I know that most groups will probably not need something like that, but for mine it would be nice to have.
Ogg,
Blaster Carbines, Blaster Rifles and Heavy Blaster Rifles (and their non-Blaster related counterparts) should each have their own categories.
Non-Heavy Rifle Category for weapons should be removed, then slightly reconfigure the attachments so that they work properly.
For Example:
Fore Arm Grip is available for rifles and carbines, but not heavy rifles. (I think this attachment is what you created the non-heavy category for in the first place).
Marksman Barrel should only be available for rifles, not carbines or heavy rifles. This was mistakenly restricted to only the "blaster rifle" item.
When I fixed it on my end, to the blaster rifle category, it made it available to heavy rifles as well, when I applied the non-heavy rifle category to it as well, it was then also available to carbines because you had them classified as non-heavy rifles for the Fore Arm Grip.
If there was 3 (well 6) separate categories, then Fore Arm Grip could be restricted to Carbines, Rifles, Blaster Carbines, and Blaster Rifles, and Marksman Barrel could be restricted to just Blaster Rifles. This would allow future attachments to be more easily restricted, or not as well.
Thanks!
Edited by Dakkar98On the note of different lightsaber styles, am I doing something wrong or is there something special that needs to be done to have the printed character sheet reflect the appropriate stat for the lightsaber skill? Or is that just not possible and needs to be determined at the table?

In the specialization section of the builder, there is a button that says "Choose Skill Char" next to the Purchase and Remove buttons. It allows you to change out the characteristic for the character's Lightsaber skill.

The current version only displays brawn as the stat even if you have a talent that allows you to choose a different stat.

Did not see the button next to Purchase and remove button. Was expecting a pop up window some thing like when you select tinkerer it asks where you want the hard point.
Maybe the button name should be change to Choose Lightsaber Stat.

Ah! Thanks! I completely missed that button!
Ogg,
I'm a huge fan of the character builder. How can I send you the next FFG book for free for your effort?
