OK so when I update my stuff, which specific file do I install??

OK so when I update my stuff, which specific file do I install??

All of them :) I'm assuming you're using the manual install? If so, just unZIP the contents into a new directory, or delete everything out of the old install directory and unZIP. Then, just run the launcher app.

One caveat: if, for some reason, you set your data path to the same path as the application, then just leave it be and create a new folder for the update. The data path should NEVER be in the application install directory.

Found a typo...

When selecting Falleen, the species skills option says one rank in stealth, but the description says charm and it gives the rank in charm.

My process for "installing" a new version.

Step 1, download file

Step 2, delete the old files.

Step 3, copy new files to old directory

Step 4, run each file I will use and exempt from Windows Defender / Anti-Virus programs.

Step 5, use as normal.

Both Charm and Coercion had the wrong title. Fixed them both.

When I do that it gives me stuff like, this file is already in there would you like to replace? Some of them augment the file but a lot of the gear looking files are repeats... Do I copy those too??

Delete everything out of the install directory before unZIPping the new version and it won't give you grief like that.

Or use the web install and have less issues :)

Feature request.

Would it be possible on the character printout pages to align the weapons, armor and gear stats in such a way that the encumberance values are all in a column with the total equipped/held encumberance at the bottom?

Not the main current/threshold encumberance box (I like that still at the top), but a small foot note with the total (or a box so we can total it ourselves after printing out and shifting gear around)
My character and some of my players' characters are collectors of gear, but leave most of it on the ship and only take what we want/need each mission, so this would make it real easy for us to total up what we have on us and be able to switch out easily.

and maybe it would be nice to have a way to input locations for gears and sort it accordingly.

Yeah, have to admit that I was initially against the 'web install" but I've found it's a lot easier than doing the manual install.

And better yet, if there's an update available when you launch the program, it offers to download and install it automatically. Quite handy that.

For some reason, when I attempt to copy and paste things into the description areas of a character, it will not let me. Any Ideas?

Also, I have noticed that you no longer have access to force powers if you are force sensitive, but only if you have the specialization. Why is this?

For the first one, are you sure you're trying to paste into the text box, or the preview box? :) I know that I'm always pasting into the preview and wondering why nothing is happening, then it's doh! wrong place!

Not sure what you mean by the second one. Force powers show up whenever you have a Force rating of 1 or more, either through the FS speciailzations or FaD careers. I do filter Force powers by their FR requirements, though, so if you have a FR of 1, you won't see powers that require FR 2 or 3.

I went and double checked where I was trying to paste it and I was trying to paste it in the story section of the background tab with no luck. I tried the other places, such as for the notes part of the obligation tab and nothing there either.

So, I have a race that is force sensitive and automatically begins with a force rating, but it does not show the force powers tab anymore. It use too open force power options without taking a specialization or a career, but not now.

Feature request: The ability to strip out stock weapons to increase a ships hardpoints.

Concealing robes and Armored robes are stacking soak. and I don't think that is supposed to happen.

You've generated a lot of interest in weapon and gear cards from the Weapon Cards thread.

Yeah, they do if you wear both of them at the same time. I don't check exactly which armor you're wearing two of, I just assume that your GM has approved of the combination.

Personally, I never allow it. In fact, I only reluctantly enabled two armor to be worn in the first place because so many people requested it.

Yeah, I did. So, is this something everyone would like? I'm assuming you'd want them double-sided? Multiples per page? Various sizes? And something like stat blocks where you can change the background and colors, etc?

It would be nice for a GM. they could print out a set of cards and hand them out as people get gear in game and then between games it can be added to your sheet. 2 sided would be nice.

Per page 207 of edge multiple of the same class of soak do not stack. IE you can't wear multiple suits of armor and have it add up for soak. different sources for soak do stack. IE sub dermal plating and armor and talents do stack.

Please make this an option a user can select. Because the way you have it now is not RAW or RAI. :) If people want to house rule it they can select the option. If they don't select the option use the best source for a characters soak.

Is it possible to add a search function to adversaries as I have an adventure with multiple Hutts and i wanted to reuse some already in the generator. However with all of the new adversaries uploaded it isn't easy to find what is already in there.

Maybe you could include a simple keyword search using adversary names and categories as the actual keywords included in the search?

It would also useful to be able to filter by multiple categories, as i might need to see just the adversaries from Suns of Fortune, or both lots of Galactic Underworld from EotE And AoR, but i can't currently do this.

Also, could you allow access to the specail abilities list to help with adding option choices for new species? Some new species may re-use abilities that other species already have, such as amphibious or ponderous etc.

And lastly (for now :) ) has anyone added in adversaries from the GM Screen adventure 'Debts to pay', as this seems to be the only adventure missing?

Yeah, I'll second this. I've not used it for any of the slew of characters I've made, so putting it as an option to be turned on if the GM wants to allow the house-rule would be a nice addition for the next update.

Did I strike a nerve OggDude? I didn't intend to offend at all...
