I concur with the idea of manually defining force rating. My GM has also arbitrarily given us all force rating 1 since he thinks its unfair for us to have to buy into two force trees to get to the stuff we would rather use.

Man, I do not even know a paid software with this many updates and bug fixes on such an insane time frame. Nice work man.... or should I say... "Impressive... MOST impressive"
FFG should just pay you and make this an official app.
that is because Ogg is made of Awesome! TM
Absolutely agree! Ogg is incredible! Great product, with tons of updates, on a timely schedule! And doing it basically solo! If I had the cash to do so, I'd be donating to this all the time.
Hey Ogg, did you make the alteration to the Caamasi's Memory Sharing ability in regards to adding a Boost die to Knowledge skills that the character has ranks in?
For my ease of use, I had edited the species to just add a Boost to all Knowledge checks (easier for me to remember to not roll a die, than the reverse), and I'm just still seeing a Boost added to every Knowledge skill. If you did make the adjustment with the latest release, would my deleting my alteration get me to the proper functionality?
No, sorry, didn't get a chance to do it. I'll look into it for a future release..
No problem! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it/hadn't screwed something up with previous changes I'd made. It's not a priority thing, and there's no rush (from me). You got all the important stuff done in an incredible amount of time. I'm happy.
Armored Robes are listed as 1000 credits when they should be 4500 and Restricted.
I found a Bug
I added a campaign to all of the characters in my generator. However when I go to sort by camapign it only shows 1 character. That being the first character in that campaign as per alphabetical order.
Found a bug....Look what happens when you put on a Quad Cannon to a YT-1300, might be for all ships, but the price is 44000 and it says there are 4 of them?
Also what is the difference between the firing arcs and where to put the weapon...I found 2 places you can place the gun?
ie. on the YT-1300 since there are 2 zones it asks which gun you are upgrading and if you choose the Dorsal gun then do the stuff for upgrading to a Quad, you have to pick all 4 zones which area and another tab for which dorsal/ventral again then says 44000...Ill screen shot it if I can and put a pix...
Now see where it says count 4? Then I will post where the price goes up too...Ok so I have the 2 pics of when I first upgrade the single gun on the Dorsal & then the price...On pg 271 of EoE CRB it says the Quad Canons are 8K so why is it 44000??
Anyhoo I hope it explains it.
Dang it...I cant past the pics cuz it says I cant use that image extension...How do I paste pics from my computer to this blasted site??
Heyo OggDude,
I really enjoy your work. This generator makes it so much easier to try a bunch of builds and see what happens.
I ran into a bug. But since I haven't seen any other posts I'm not sure if this is specific to my system.
When I try to go to the print preview I get the following error: Unhandled exception has occurred (etc. etc.)
The stack trace is:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
I get the same error whether its the manual or web install that I'm running. Any suggestions?

Post the images to a site like imgur, and then link to them from your post.
That’s the only solution I’ve found.

It's saying that you don't have any printers installed. I put in a check for that, so it should no longer crash.
Awesome work!
Just encountered a small bug, though. If I create a character in the Character Generator, then go to the GM Tools and copy the character, it will let me edit the copied character. However, if I close the GM Tools and reopen, the copied character has disappeared.
Bug report:
The "Collar Amp (upgraded)" item has the item key of "USERGEAR1".
The "FasClean Atmospheric Reactor Damper" is misspelt, it should be "Reactive" not "Reactor".
The plot Hooks area is missing the "Local Leader" hook.
There are two different "Reduce Difficulty" and "Activation" nodes in the Unmatched Expertise signature ability, the generator currently only registers one for each.

So I was looking at the GM tool and the categories. I have some new categories that i think would be useful.
Droids
Criminals
Force users
Imperial officers
Imperial troops
Rebel officers
Rebel Troops
Civilians
Pilots
law enforcement
politicians
nobles

Nice catch. This one was a little tricky. First off, the "4" is correct for the quad laser cannon. It does, in fact, have a Linked quality of 3, which means it has 4 "weapons" in it. I have a fixed limit of 4 for upgrades so nobody gets too crazy, so it's not upgradable anymore. Second, the price calculation got confused and was adding the base cost, plus 3 times half the base cost because of the Links. I had to restructure the pricing so that it could compare the new Linked count to the original when figuring out prices. So, the quad laser cannon will now cost 8000 as it should.
The firing arcs are used to create the arc in weapon descriptions, while the location is basically fluff so that the description of the weapon will show up correctly. So, you could have an arc of "all" (all four zones selected), while the weapon itself could be forward mounted, or aft mounted or whatever. The same thing goes for turret and retractable. It has no affect on anything, other than making the description of the weapon look correct.
As for having to pick everything again, I wasn't setting up the defaults when you tried to upgrade an existing weapon. It'll do that now, so all the current weapon settings will be set when you upgrade. You can then change whatever you want to change without having to remember what they originally were
Quick question buddy...When you update your generator, what do I have to download and change so I do not have to redo my PC sheet everytime I download your stuff??

Use the autoupdate install. It will update and do nothing to your character.
So I have been messing with the GM tool and it would be nice to be able to print the stat block out instead of saving as an image.
Great program, I will likely fill in the talent details etc.

Big thing I've noticed is that the Keldabe is listed as an Airspeeder, not a starship. Easily fixable, but thought I should mention it. Also, I can't find any place to do the homestead building.
Awesome work!

Another good catch. PC adversaries have a flag so that they won't be saved and can't be edited (since they're adversary copies of existing characters). When I cloned the PC adversary during the "Copy" function, I had neglected to reset that flag so that the copy would be treated as a normal adversary. So, easy enough to fix
I am pretty sure my last bug report was buried and/or ignored, when I mentioned about the list of enemies on the encounter printouts.

It gleans the categories from the setting in each adversary, so you can redo the categories however you like them by just editing an adversary. For the CRBs, I make the categories the same as in the books. For the other sources, I tend to just leave them as the source name.

Use the autoupdate install. It will update and do nothing to your character.
Even manual installs shouldn't do anything to your characters. Your characters should be found in a particular folder that's saved to the registry. When you install manually, just delete everything out of the install directory and unZIP the new archive into it. Just be sure your data folder isn't pointing to the same location as your applications

It didn't. I made the font smaller when the count is 2 digits, so it'll fit both digits now.
Any thoughts on adding a manual Force Rating selector?
Any thoughts on adding a manual Force Rating selector?
Several I need to figure out how I want to go about this.
In the meantime, to give your character starting Force rating, load its XML into a text editor, find Attributes/ForceRating/StartingRanks and give it a value other than "0". I did check, and StartingRanks isn't being used anywhere for Force rating, so if I add this feature, that's where it'll go.
