More thanks goes out to Donald and Szatai for their donations to the cause.
The proceeds from the generator will be paying for my 4-day pass to KublaCon in May. I'm hoping to get into a game or two of EotE

Bug report: Seems like the option to choose what sources to use for talents, skills etc. is not working. Age of Rebellion is deselected in my Options menu, but it still show me careers, talents, adversaries etc. from AoR...
Hello, Wonderful generator you've made. I just noticed that the Ghtroc 720 is showing only one point in it's front shields. It should be 1 and 1. Thanks again!
The boxes for the trees expand to accommodate but now the Notes box below overlaps the bottoms of the extended tree boxes instead of shrinking to accommodate the expanded tree boxes for color and simplified.
Can you add a screen shot for this? I may not have scaled something properly. I'm assuming you're running at 120 dpi, probably on a tablet or a notebook?
Hold the presses. Can I install this on my tablet? That would be so awesome. I thought it needed windows.

You can run it on your tablet if your tablet runs Windows. I guess a Surface Pro would work. I wouldn't know since no one I know has one.

Awe darn. Android has served me well so far, I'll cross my fingers and hope OggDude gets the incentive to cross platforms.

I found the problem. The entry had it as 1 point Fore and 1 point Starboard, not Aft.

By golly, you're right. They should all be adhering to the configured sources now. The GM Tools don't use source, by the way, it's only a character thing.
I'll release the change when I've accumulated a few more things.
Ok that's good to hear, but would it be possible to add source filtering for GM tools too? Would make it a lot easier when making Adversaries (especially the Force problem I mentioned in a post on the previous page).
I run the generator on my Surface Pro 2 and it works great, so yes is the answer to that question.
Bug/Nitpick:
My character Dual wields blaster pistols. When I select the deadly accuracy talent, it changes the damage of all my ranged light weapons. (Only the first hit benefits from DA the rest are base damage.) It may be prudent to display the damage in a way that doesn't suggest a flat damage increase. If I have 2 ranks in ranged light I would suggest displaying damage like this 6 +2 or 6/8. I haven't tested it in the editor but I assume this would also affect auto-fire weapons and grenades as well.
This is an amazingly great character generator. Sure there are a few places where it could be a little more user-friendly, but that's just me being nit-picky. Over the last 15 years I have made numerous complex character generators in Excel, but applications like this really make me wish that I had kept up with my programming skills. Well done and nice attention to detail!
I would find this to be more useful if it contained game content. I was wondering if you have ever thought of approaching FFG and inquire about paying a licensing fee for using protected content?
Since your application is very professional in appearance, I believe they would be receptive to this idea as it certainly well compliments their product line. I suspect the licensing fee would be fairly expensive though, so I would run a Kickstarter campaign to pay for the licensing fee(s).

Won't ever happen. Problem is a product like this would be considered an electronic game and FFG does not have a license to do electronic games. No matter how stupid that sounds that is where we stand.
And you really should speak up on the user friendliness issues. They don't xhane unless you speak up.
I actually like it the way it is. Having to enter all the text, was for me a perfect way to read everything.
Does anyone have the "Custom" data filled out that they would be willing to send me?

Okay now I know this has been covered however, reading 98 pages of posts to find it is not my idea of a good time. I am using the non-manual install. After installing the info I entered is gone. I have it in a seperate folder which I never want the install to point to (afraid it will mess up/lose the data). So I used 7-zip to zip up the info and clicked on Data Editor and then import . I navigated to the folder with my info and clicked on it. Got the following message: This zip archive does not contain a valid data set .
So how do I go about fixing this? Yes I saved it as .zip instead of the default for 7-zip. I guess I could just drop the zip folder into the data folder and upzip it? Figured I would ask here first.
Another thought I had is that the best way to do this could be added to the FAQ.
Forgive me if this has been covered since I can't figure out the search function of this forum, I'm trying to create a Force user. I see Force power options in some of the screenshots, but I cannot figure out how to access them in the program.
I love it, by the way. i can't believe it exists so nicely and professional looking
To make a force user you first have to purchase a starting class/spec then you can add the universal spec from one of the force user specs. Hope this helps.

that was perfect. thank you.

You can just point to it as your data folder, then use the data editor to back it up for you. Not sure why the ZIP didn't work, as all it does it look for the directories that it knows about.
And yes, you can just copy the relevant folders to a new directory, if you want to do that. They're listed in the first part of the documentation. You'd then just change your data path to point to it.

Where's that? Can't find any links to it.
Not sure if this has been asked before, but is there a way to place the PCs into there positions on the vehicle so that it will show all the vehicle specific talents/skills for them either on there character sheet or on the vehicle sheet?

All characters you have stored will automatically be generated as adversaries in GM Tools. That is, the characters are loaded, converted into their equivalent adversary, and the adversary is inserted in with your other adversaries. All PC adversaries belong to the "Player Character" category so you can get to them quickly.
To do what you want to do, just create a vehicle encounter and man your vehicle with the adversary versions of your PCs.
