Make Adversary Cards!!!!

By Doc, the Weasel, in Star Wars Roleplaying Specialization and Adversary Decks

I am not very interested in talent cards (which can already be easily referenced on a single page).

What I think we need are cards with adversary stats on them. Some ready made baddies that I (as a GM) can whip out in a pinch, with all their pertinent data.

You could theme the packs, like Imperials, Gangsters, Corporate, Pirates, etc.

Who's with me here?

+100

Yeah that would be a great idea. Maybe each book could be a pack which includes all the "baddies" in there!

Very unlikely to buy the specialisation cards but would definitely buy Adversary decks!

You can order my deck too...

This would be much preferred to the notebooks, index cards, word docs, or other methods that I'm bludgeoning myself with trying to organize npc's. Spoiled from WFRP and still haven't figured out a clean, efficient way to do this yet that I like.

I am pretty sure that back to the beta days some one already did that. At least, I have downloaded some pdfs in card format with the stats, equipment etc. of the badies.

Yes adversary and vehicle cards would be great.

Someone did that with the ones in the book at least, something like 3 or so to a page. Very helpful during a game. If you want some, why not try to find that PDF and organize them into three by five cards? It would save you a bit of cash. That said, anything that they want to publish I am happy about. I may not purchase it, but every gamer has different needs and learning methods.

Yes yes, I have them, it is no problem.

For those who may be interested, here is the forum's thread and here a link to the creator's blog with all the stat blocks . Obviously, it is nothing as fancy as FFG could do, but they are super functional and for free.

Cheers,

Yepes

Yup, those are the ones. Thanks Yepes :)

Those still have the beta stats on them, so you'll need to update some of the information if you want to bring them up to release stats.

i would purchase for sure

Yes, I said that. Nevertheless, what I wanted to point out is that creating card sized stat blocks for enemies (which is very handy for the GM) is a very easy task. You only need word or power point, or similar softwares (and a printer).

Of course, the cards that FFG can eventually produce will have much fancier pictures and design, and this is what you will be buying, because the cards from FFG won't be more functional than the ones you can create yourself.

I am not against the cards, I will just not buy them, I will safe my money to buy things I cannot do myself. I just hope that FFG keep focusing their efforts on producing good supplements for the game.

Not a bad idea considering I've been planning on using a Rolodex to store home made adversary cards.

I am currently working up NPC and Adversary cards for Escape from Mos Shutta and Long Arm of the Hutt. It is not an insignificant amount of work. If FFG released them I would be all over them like stink on a tauntaun.

Aye, I'd buy these in a heartbeat.

I keep looking at getting custom playing cards printed up. It's around $15 for 54 with the adversary image on one side and a stat block (akin to the triumph and despair ones posted earlier) on the rear.

I'm currently holding off in the hope adversary cards are announced (and it's taking forever to do custom stat blocks as images for uploading :P )

I would love this, i had started making a few when the beginner game first came out but didnt have time to do very many.

Wont let me post em, ah well. But yeah really hope they do that.

I agree with the OP, please make Adversary Cards.

And when you do make multiples of Minion Groups.

Ship cards would be nice as well but if you have to choose which to do first go with Adversary Cards.

I'm averse to Minion cards simply because... there's really not much to them beyond Characteristics, equipment and what skills they have ranks in when operating as a group; otherwise, unless you're wanting to use a format like what those aforementioned cards use there's little that you can't just whip up on the fly; Rival and Nemesis cards would have more value.

An excellent idea! While I have no plans to pick up the talent cards, as others have noted, I would definitely buy Rival/Nemesis/Minion and Vehicle cards. Hmmm...Maybe have an equipment or item deck too that could be used for random loot drops, as well? I'd totally buy those, too!

I definitely agree it would be nice to have some other types of cards besides the adversary cards like some equipment cards like in lccgs.

I've been working on some Weapon, Armor, and Gear guards. It shouldn't be long and I will have them posted. They DO involve some house rules, but I can post them as a .doc instead of a .pdf if someone wishes to edit them. There are some examples still here of my originals that I was working on back during Beta. I'm working on updating it (lots of updates) and adding lots more content as one large pdf "Armory". Give me a couple weeks though. :)

Yes, bad guy cards would be very useful!
