Yeah, the idea that a body would freeze instantly when exposed to outer space is strange and the fact that people keep bringing it up is rather sad. Like over cooked pork level of sad.

Being in outer space will kill you by suffocation.
Instafreezing and blowing up are Hollywood fabrications. People can and have lived in vacuum for periods of time.
Vacuum is not "cold" at all. Cold is an attribute of physical objects. Which is actually "cold" in space is the one atom per square meter or so that will, given a long time, eventually absorb your heat. Vacuum is a superb insulator (it's how your thermos works.)
