Tech-Priest starting Cybernetics

in addition to everything else, they get 2 good craftmanship cybernetics of their choice. i dont see any limit with regards to availability. So could a brand new tech-priest start with something silly, like 2 baleful eyes? Or is their some limit i missed, aside from the GM just saying no.


There is a reason why its almost unanimous on the boards that the Tech-Priest Engineer is the most broken class in Only War. In addition to having more Attributes than anyone else, a good number of Skills and Talents, a Rare piece of equipment, and a Very Rare Mechadendrite; they also receive those 2 Good-Craftsmanship cybernetics with 0 restrictions as to their rarity…oh and they get Sevitor instead of human Comrade.




By RAW (Rules As Written)…yes the only limitations as to what you can chose for cybernetics is limited solely by the GM…though a clever GM will likely make a more pimped-out Tech-Priest a favored target for ambushes and sneak attacks (alls fair after all desconfiado ).

This is kind of why you have some DM intervention. The same reason you don't let your players create a regiment whose primary heavy weapon is a Dark Lance, with their favored special weapon being a Gauss Flayer. Also, everybody has good quality refractor fields (that's only 25 points of gear!).

RAW they can be pretty sick. So filter them through some semblance of sensibility.
