is there any reference anyone could point me to that explains how many crew memebers operate the different Dust walkers ?

I don't recall where I read it but I believe it is one crewman for the Light/Medium walkers.

For the Allies lights are 1 man, Mediums are 2 Man and Heavies are atleast 2+

For Axis All Lights Medium and Assaults are 1 Man, Heavy is 2? Man

Yup. According to the sourcebook, the Mk II German walker has one crewmember. And the M2 series would have to have two: A driver, and a turret gunner/commander (the .50 MG is a pintel mount, which requires someone sticking up out of the turret hatch to use).
