Soft Cover

By Mrakvampire, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Hi to all!

Can you please clarify to me (with my legacy of D&D games) - is there 'Soft Cover' concept in Deathwatch?

I'll explain - soft cover is when one creature provides cover to another creature behind it.

Nope. It is assumed that whenever someone is shooting past an enemy to hit a target behind them that there is enough space to do so.

I'd go with: If specific body part is to be hit and that body part is behind someone else then the hit is taken by the poor guy in-front.

Sounds like the basic cover system. I was thinking of suggesting something similar. Keep it narative though, unless a character is hostage-bear-hugging another character for cover then theres going to be many times you're still able to shoot around the guy in front to hit the guy in back.
