Hey guys. I have a problem. The Acheros Oaths in "The Jericho Reach"(Page 29) list some Squad Mode Abilities that I could not find in it self and not even in the Core Rulebook or the supplements i own. C ould somebody help me out? I search for " Faith is Our Shield" and "Stalwart Survivors". F urthermore I don't know how I should use "Holy Vengeance" described in the Oath of Vengeance without a Black Templar . I would be most grateful

There are many issues with Jericho Reach, just some of them being the mis-named abilities. This includes many of the space marine characters (specifically the Ultra capatain with bionics) having some rediculous stats. In fact, its pretty much just that one Ultramarine character (or at least the characters in that chapter), he's got an insane amount of strength but the real kicker was his larger than life Strength Bonus. There were no stats or items which could account for his strength bonus being what it was compared to his strength (I think it was S80 SB16).

As for the abilities you can't find… There's only one chapter with this issue, right? What it seems to me, and this fits with the character issues above, is there were 2 or more writers for the book, and one or more of those writers didn't take sticking to the rules very seriously. Then it seems an editor stepped in and did some 'quick as you like' tweaking but rushed the job and didn't keep to consistancy for those abilities he renamed. In other words I'm fairly sure the mis-matched named abilities in that chapter (ability description and the overall list) are the same ones. Just do your best to match name to ability and go from there.

Oath of Purity = Tactical Spacing, Fury Preserve Us, Vengeance of the True,

Oath of Vengeance = Cleanse The Traitors, Overlapping Fire, Vengeance of the True

Oath of the Watchguard = Bolter Assault, Closed Minds, Soak Fire

Oath of Zeal = Furious Charge, Perditions Hand, Squad Advance

That sounds about right Anselem.
