first attempt at making characters

By philosophant, in WFRP Gamemasters

OK so we just made our characters. A wizard and an iron breaker. Have some questions about them.

What actions does the wizard get automatically? The wizard chose only spells for her actions, is that OK?

When buying skills, they are just training them not buying them, and only train ones the have in their career set. Is this right?

Can the wizard train channeling?

Specializing does what exactly?

Thanks for your help,

James

- Everone gets the basic cards provided they qualify for them at at creation ei. dodge if u have Ag 3+, Block T 3+, Parry S 3+

- Provided he has his invocation skill, he gets the basic spell actions for free …

- Whether from the getgo or at a later stage, I would probably consider picking up some kind of social action(s) - there are few good ones usable by wizards which usetalize Wp …likewise there is a talent which allows you to use your Int for Intimidate.

When buying skills, they are just training them not buying them, and only train ones the have in their career set. Is this right?

- Skills purchased at character generation, does NOT count as being trained in career - which is important due to free specializations gained when completing career … & yes you can only purchase skills from your career skills, later you can train out of career skills at out of career skills at +1 xp cost.

Can the wizard train channeling?

- Yes

Specializing does what exactly?

- Adds a white 'fortune' die to any skill checks where this this specialization is applicable

Thanks for your help,

James
