Winvasion, the Warhammer: Invasion podcast
Episode 33 is up.
you guys are wonderful.
3 questions about the game:
Do you think this game would have attracted more people and sell more products if they would design a solo game as well as 2 player or 4 player game ?
basically you would go against a deck of cards and a scenario ?
when one player plays a tactic card and then in response the second player puts down the very same tactic card ,why is it the second player whom have the ruling to go first. I know that is what the rule book says but is that fair ? there are two identical tactic cards.
I know in Blood Bowl often things get very serious and from my experience some players get very competitive, have you ever had similar experience in W.I events or this game is all about have fun and who cares who wins at the end.
Good Bye,
Edited by dianaversace1Very competitive...I hope no one gets frustrated.
Warning - contains course language...
OMG,
did this really happen ?? that guy is such a Loser !
Can the guys on the podcast dedicate a session to Cataclysm ?
Also we are now using the fan expansion cards FOREVER WAR into our weekend all girls event and we LOVE it.
Hope there is a next one and it has some Neutral cards and some Quest cards.

All staged. Just for laughs.
That's good to hear people like the Forever War cards! I think we talked about Cataclysm while the game was still alive and we were young and beautiful. Episode 13, it looks like, under the archive: http://winvasion.net/podcast-archive/

Happy DD,
I'm sure you and Malumo are both still beautiful! Especially in that one-zie...still waiting on that pic to go up on the site...

Sad to see you guys go but I get it. Thanks for doing it as long as you did. I always enjoyed it!
Go???? Whatsup?????
Edit: im on a mobile connection with restricted bandwidth so cant listen to the podcast, but reading between the lines i gather the podcast is finishing,
so sad.
This seems such a great game that i only found this year and havent even bought it all yet, so seeing its major cheerleaders decide its finally time to go quiet is very sad and suggests the game will sadly fade.
Thank you for the time you put into it and also your helpful replies on this forum as i discovered the game. Best wishes and so sad the podcast is resting
Gutted doesn't touch the surface...
With the game ceasing to make new cards last year and Winvasion coming to an end it feels like W:I is fading too fast.
There was so much room for expansion. I miss this game.
A game this good deserves to be played for years abd years after its discontinuation, just as games like space hulk, heroquest, warhammer quest, all discontinued yet all played by enthusiasts just because the game is good.
Card games often seem to rely on the current scene rather than classic, but I would love WI to continue in the spirit of those board games I mentioned above.
For those of you missing having a great game to consume your spare mindspace, I genuinely recommend getting into 40K Conquest. If you can transcend your bad blood towards Conquest because it was likely somehow tied-up with Invasions cancellation, I think after giving it a chance you'll realize its a gem of a game just like Invasion was. Just my opinion after playing both games extensively! There's life after Invasion! ;-)
