Two questions: Secondary weapons and stress.

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing Rules Questions

1st question. If you're firing a proton torpedo or concussion missiles or what have you, does your target need to be in your firing arc? I assumed the point of having a lock would be so you wouldn't actually need to be facing your opponent to unleash your missiles on him.

2nd question: Let's assume you have a stress token on your ship. If you do a green maneuver to remove it, do you get to take an action that turn or does removing that stress token count as your action and therefore you have to wait until your next move to get an action?

Thanks

1) The target must be in your firing arc to fire secondary weapons. I imagine (pretend) the lock is necessary because projectiles move slower than lasers, and would miss every time without a target lock.

2) Stress is removed as you perform your green maneuver, so you are free to take an action. You should check out the video tutorial , which explains it really well.

1. Yes

2. Yes

as an aside, in the upcoming Homing Missile upgrade card, it seems that even though it requires a Target Lock before the attack, you only need to discard the card to perform the attack - the Target Lock is not spent!
