couple questions making sure we are doing things right

if i activate a unit and attempt to move them within 12 inches of an opponents unit and he chooses to react he could move or attack correct, if he chooses to

attack i do not get to attack back correct? if i activate a unit and declare an attack on a unit he can react and attack back but this situation we would both attack at same time correct?

when 2 units are attacking each other via the react rule both units would receive supression markers correct, would the supression markers go into effect immediately when resolving armor saves for the attack that put the supression markers on them, or any attacks after that is when the markers take effect?

and last one, if i have a unit with cc weapons and attempt to move in on a unit, ( say im like 9 inches away) if the unit chose to stay and fight the could only react with cc weapons or could they shoot zombies before they got there? thanks for answers

Correct

If the enemy unit chooses to react to your movement by attacking, you do not get to attack back. Correct.

Correct

If both units hit each other they both gain supression when both attacks are resolved. The supression gained will not come into effect until the attacks are resolved. These supression markers will affect any further attack actions taken against these units during the current turn.

If the enemy is reacting to a move they can shoot you. If the enemy is reacting to a CC attack, they must react with a CC attack.

Hopefully those are all correct.

clears things up thanks

One note about suppression markers is that they do not restrict # of actions taken until the next phase.

So for instance, if I declare I'm goiing to move then attack, and then someone reacts to my movement and attacks my unit, suppressing it, I can still take my secont action (attack) even though I'm suppressed. It's not until the next turn that the suppression marker would restrict the number of actions the unit gets.

But death does. Any guys he kills as a reaction to your move, will not be around to shoot in your attack. Always, always react to the end of the move if you think you can lessen the dice rolled on you from the impending attack.

I wasn't offering tactical advice - just clarifying a rule, one that I got wrong in my first game.

I completely agree - someone gets into reaction range, you are probably going to want to react and blow the guy away as quickly as possible.
