Game Deployment

By Wolfscout, in Dust Tactics Rules Discussion

So I get that the rules for entering play cost 1 move action, but when setting up the game does one deploy everything (like 40k for example) or as you enter play you bring on each unit individually as they are activated?

Thats the mistake I first made, players alternate activating and deploying models.

But as a ful turn right? So I could for example do a move to get on the board and another move to advance (or fire) correct?

Yes, each unit gets it's 2 activations.

Yes one move to enter, and a second action to move, shoot, use sklill, or nothing.

Then your opponent activates one of their units.

Then it's your turn again.

Major Mishap is a ninja. : )

Awesome! I appreciate it guys

pulled this from the FAQ/Errata, just wanted to add that the unit is not limited to just the first grid if they are able to move more than one.

"The Unit Entry section of the Core Rules is incorrect.
When entering the battlefield during the first round of the
game, each unit’s first action must be a move action,
using movement points to enter one of the entry spaces
on the map per that unit’s movement rules. The unit is not
restricted to a move of one space if it has more movement
points available to it."
